About LittleBase.

A directory of kid-friendly places for Canadian families.

Why we made this

LittleBase started as a notebook on a parent's kitchen table in Mississauga — a running list of the parks, libraries, and quiet corners of restaurants that actually welcomed a tired toddler at 4 pm. The list grew. Friends asked for it. Eventually it became this site: a place to find the spots where Canadian families are genuinely welcome, organized by city so you spend less time hunting and more time outside.

How it works

Every place on LittleBase earns its spot. We focus on the indicators that matter to parents — places real families return to, with consistent warmth and the practical details that make a visit with kids possible (parking, stroller access, indoor backup for rainy days, age fit). Listings are organized into nine categories that map to how parents actually plan a day: outdoor play, indoor play, discovery & attractions, storytime & classes, daycare & preschool, family eats, family health, birthdays & events, and shops.

We're always adding cities and refreshing listings. If a beloved local spot is missing, or if something on a page is wrong, tell us — we read every email.

Who's behind it

LittleBase is a small, independent project. No investors, no ads, no sponsored placements. Just a directory built for the people who'll use it.
