Why we made this
LittleBase started with a parent in Mississauga trying to line up daycare — a dozen browser tabs, inconsistent hours, and no easy way to compare nearby options side by side. So we began gathering them in one place, organized by city. What started as a personal list became this site: somewhere Canadian families can compare local daycares and preschools without piecing it together from scratch.
How it works
Each listing gathers the details parents actually weigh — location and contact info, operating hours, age groups served, parent ratings, and a plain-English summary of what to expect. We're expanding coverage with provincial licensing details, capacity, and program information, province by province, starting with Ontario.
We're always adding cities and refreshing listings. If a beloved local spot is missing, or if something on a page is wrong, tell us — we read every email.
