Here's a review of Alexandra Park: --- Alexandra Park is a fantastic community hub offering a variety of activities and a refreshing break from the city’s hustle and bustle. Nestled in a vibrant neighborhood, the park provides ample green space, making it perfect for families, joggers, and anyone looking for a place to relax outdoors. The wide-open lawns are ideal for picnics, and the playground area is a hit with kids, offering safe and fun play equipment. One of the best features of Alexandra Park is its sports facilities. The basketball courts, tennis courts, and soccer fields are well-maintained, attracting both casual players and those looking for more competitive games. It’s not uncommon to see pick-up games happening throughout the day, which adds to the lively community vibe. The park also has a charming, natural appeal, with plenty of trees providing shade on hot days and beautiful walking paths for a leisurely stroll. During the summer, the splash pad becomes a major attraction for families with young children, and it’s a great spot to cool off. On the downside, during peak times, the park can get quite crowded, making it harder to find a quiet spot. Additionally, some of the facilities, like restrooms, could use better upkeep. Overall, Alexandra Park is a wonderful local gem that caters to a wide range of interests and is perfect for a day out with family or friends.

as I babysit a lot I have gotten to know many parks in the downtown area. I must say they renovated the playground for the kids very nicely. And the fact that it just runs with water with no need for a lifeguard is a big plus +++

There are two different cherry trees between the pool and library. A great spot for a picnic

Right now it's full of tents and not a family friendly place to go. Lots of homeless people took over that beautiful park turning it into a place where one could buy any drugs they desire. A Real shame

we came here to skate at night. the main rink that's fenced in closes and is locked at 10pm, the lights on the area outside of it turn off around 11:30pm. usually during the daytime heres lockers available and according to signs around the area, the city tries to wet and pave the ice 4 times weather permitting. not bad! washrooms are also right next to the rink as well.
