  As all new parents know searching for the perfect daycare with loving, caring and welcoming staff is nerve wracking to say the least. I started searching for the perfect fit for my daughter in the North York area when she was 10 months. I toured many centres and was on many waiting lists. Stepping into All About Kids for the first time was easy, it felt as though we were with family. All of the staff greeted us while we were touring the centre and most importantly all made effort to say hello to my daughter. Rates not only for the infant room but all rooms (I did compare the majority of the daycares in the area) were very competitive. The Centre offered part time and full time spots and the director was very assuring that they will work with us to accommodate our needs. After leaving the daycare centre it was an easy and obvious decision, we found the PERFECT daycare! My daughter is in the infant room full time and absolutely loves it. There is fun and educational structure that exceeds ministry expectations. Each room offers access to a webcam which allows myself to connect remotely during the day. Its a wonderful feeling being a first time mom getting to watch my daughter finger paint with her little friends and amazing teachers. Needless to say this daycare exceeds my expectations and truly is a home away from home. I recommend All About Kids, more specifically, 2005 Sheppard Avenue to any parent looking for quality child care. The directer runs a wonderful centre and we couldn't be happier. M

  All About Kids Daycare (North York) is an amazing daycare. Being in the field of education, I whole-heartedly believe that I could not have found a better daycare for my 3 children. I have been a part of the All About Kids family for 6 years strong. I know when I go to work my kids are/were in the best hands. All About Kids provide great care for my children. The staff maintain a positive and productive daycare environment. They praise children regularly and ensure children are participating. They always speak to children in a respectful and honest manner and state expectations for behaviour when necessary. The staff always greet children to the classroom in the morning and listen attentively to their stories and comments. They always assist children in achieving a positive and safe integration into cultural, educational, social and recreational activities. It saddens me that my youngest will be graduating soon; we have created a strong bond with all the staff at All About Kids. They are outstanding, dedicated and patient team players.

  Both of my children attended this daycare for years, and I always recommend it to friends or co-workers. I can’t say how much I love the place, and the people that work there. This facility does have a routine of what gets done when. They taught both of my kids how to write their names, and my kids both loved it there. It feels like a big family, and I always trusted them with my kids. One perk that a friend pointed out (and she had been to different daycares) was the decorations and play centres. The girls are great at creating a fake ice cream shop or rocket ship, and everything in between. The kids would get so much excitement out of it, and loved to show it off to parents. This daycare is great, and I miss it now that both of my Kids are in school.

  I actually agree with Anum Rafiq’s comment. I am giving it 3 stars because initially my child was in the Toddler room and whenever I dropped him off, there was no greeting or smile or anything from the teachers. He would just walk into the room. When I picked him up, no goodbye, no have a nice day or any stories about my child. They would simply say ‘your mom is here’ and point him to the door. One of the teachers would even let the new kids cry without comforting or holding them or anything. I wonder if they have children themselves. Would they want this kind of behaviour with their own kids? It would break my heart to watch on camera how my son would be crying and going after this specific teacher because he was looking for an adult to comfort him but this lady would completely ignore him and go the other way...like she really had the guts to do that! She didnt even care that she is being watched on camera! She clearly didnt care about her job and wanted to get out. Oh also, during food time, this specific teacher would honestly DROP the food on the table (sometimes out of the child’s reach) instead of gently placing it in front of the children. She honestly baffled me with her behaviour! There is a lot of free play in the Toddler rooms too...hardly any circle time or any other activities. Thankfully he started going to the Preschool class within a month and that was a nice class with good teachers. Always greeted both me and my son and gave him a warm welcome. I noticed on the camera too that the teachers in this classroom would always try to comfort the kids. So the 3 stars goes to the preschool class. Also, the supervisor is great! But they should honestly talk to these teachers in the Toddler room. Please show some affection towards these children especially if they are new. Make them feel welcome!

• You Seem Frustrated

  This is the best daycare I've seen so far. I got referral from another mom who sent her kid here who had a great experience. I felt the same. The teachers are nice and caring. The director is very accommodating and responsive. The value is quite good too. I sent my first kid to another daycare that costed a lot more and had issues. Highly recommend!
