  Our daughter has been dancing with the Aroon Academy of Irish Dance since she was 4 years old. Over the past 6 years we have seen her confidence and skills grow. A few things for prospective parents/students to consider: 1) Our dancer loves to compete but she also loves the opportunity to perform. She has really enjoyed all the group dances. It’s such a cool opportunity for the dancers to be taught by a former Riverdance dancer. 2) We have always felt that the fact that Eileen is also a primary school teacher means that she thinks about the whole child and is able to draw on different teaching techniques to adapt to the dancer. 3) The school has a great community of dancers and families. There is lots of support and a welcoming environment. We highly recommend Aroon Academy!

  I found Eileen and Aroon after my daughter was struggling with ballet. I wasn’t sure whether my daughter would like Irish dance as it seemed more complicated and difficult. However, a year and a half later I can say that I am glad we found Eileen and Aroon. Eileen takes time and care to teach the basics while fostering a welcoming and fun environment. It’s such a welcoming sight to see the senior dancers help and encourage the newer dancers. My daughter loves Irish dance and we looked forward to continuing to learn with Aroon.

  I’m so glad I joined Aroon Irish Dance last year. Eileen has been such a thoughtful & kind teacher - and the adult group is like a little family. There have been so many opportunities for me as an Adult Irish Dancer at Aroon even outside of the classes, such as; performances, festivals, and local/national Feiseanna. It’s been so fun to be apart of the Aroon team, and I’m definitely hooked now!!! Thanks Eileen!!

  Great school for Irish dancing. Eileen is a wonderful teacher and is so efficient and organized on the administrative side also. Aroon shows are so well put together. The dancers are so well trained and always produce such lovely dances at senior homes around St. Patrick day and other times. I'm thankful for Eileen and the teachers at Aroon that helped my daughter pick up the techniques quickly in a short time and made Irish dancing look easy.
