The Aurora Community Arboretum is a fantastic green space that really lives up to its "urban oasis" title. You've got over 10 km of trails that are a mix of paved, crushed stone, and grass, which is great for a long walk or bike ride. Spring is honestly the best time to go, especially for the "Field of Gold" daffodils—it's absolutely stunning and worth the visit alone. The downside is that since many of the trees are still maturing, the shade cover is a bit spotty, and in the summer, those trails can get pretty hot. Also, being right next to the East Holland River, you'll want to pack bug spray for the evening walks!

Large complex with easy paved or gravel walking trail. Family complex with lots of different activities available including ice rink, swimming pool, basketball court, indoor waking track, climbing wall, fitness rooms, skateboard park, 3 baseball diamonds, soccer field, beach volleyball, and playground for kids. Nice area to walk around with large historical trees. Many Plants and trees have labels or signage so it’s neat to learn more about the foliage. Unfortunately the trees are very spaced out so it is not the best place to see fall colours. There are more densely populated trails in Richmond Hill that would give you a better experience of autumn colours.

Nice place to take a walk. The park is relatively new, so the trees are not yet old growth trees. But it is Pleasant enough, and there is a creek. And there is a playground as well. I love that it connects so many areas, so you can really get a good hike in. Good place for bird watching too.

Whether you are w a friend, your dog or on your own, I would recommend this as a nice walk. I bright my dogs and we had a great time. Little bit of history, lovely landscaping throughout, a playground and of course a pathway thru nature.

The Field of Gold, ten thousand of yellow and white Daffodils . This Community Arboretum is run by volunteers . This beautiful scene only happens in mid April to early May. If you come in summer, it's only a field of grass lawn . Go and visit in a sunny day. Yesterday was a cloudy & windy day , no good for taking photos.
