My previous dentist said I needed a crown but he and his staff didn't act on it for months and my molar started to fall apart despite my pleas it was an emergency. Dr Chan and his team came to save the day within 48 hours. Today, I am very pleased with the new crown as it feels like a brand new tooth.   This year I decided it was time to find a new dentist. After doing my homework, Dr. Erwin Chen’s very impressive credentials stood out, so I decided to give his practice a try. My kids went first for their checkups and cleanings. Dr. Chen was incredibly thorough with their examinations and cleaning, and he has such a warm, gentle manner that my kids actually enjoyed their visits. That gave me the confidence to finally tackle two procedures I’d been putting off for years: extracting a wisdom tooth that had been inflaming regularly and causing me misery, and getting a crown on a fragile tooth that had undergone root canal treatment many years ago. Honestly, I should have done both ages ago, but I’d been dragging my feet out of pure dread. I was so nervous before the extraction, but I couldn’t believe how quick and smooth it turned out to be. Something I’d been scared of for years was over before I knew it! No excessive bleeding afterward, no swelling at all, and just the tiniest bit of discomfort once the anesthesia wore off, nothing that needed pain medication. I had the tooth pulled at 2 PM, and by evening I felt completely normal, as if nothing had even happened （except I had to remember not to disturb the socket） When it came time for the crown, Dr. Chen was meticulous about getting the bite exactly right. He was so patient, adjusting and readjusting until everything was perfect. Just after an hour of having it placed, I couldn’t even tell it was there. It felt just like my natural tooth. And the crown is beautiful! I really believe that both procedures comes down to Dr. Chen’s exceptional skill and artistry. What I also appreciate is how patiently Dr. Chen answered all my questions and concerns, and I had plenty, both about my own treatment and my kids’. As a dentist, he’s truly outstanding in both expertise and bedside manner. I also have to mention Christine, Dr. Chen’s assistant, who is so friendly, professional, and attentive. She goes out of her way to make you comfortable and help you relax. And Teresa has been wonderful at patiently explaining and handling all the insurance details. I really feel like I made the right choice in picking this dental practice!
