Bethune Park is a great outdoor spot in Scarborough where families can enjoy some fresh air and play, making it a nice option for a casual outing with the kids.

What to expect

This park offers an outdoor space for children to play and explore. While it's a lovely place to visit on a sunny day, it's important to note that it is an outdoor facility, so it's not suitable for visits during inclement weather.

Best for

Perfect for a spontaneous afternoon of outdoor fun when the weather is pleasant.

Lovely quiet park where you can sit on a bench and watch the wildlife playing...squirrels, rabbits, woodpeckers, and more.

Cute little park. There is a little playground some swings and some benches licated here. A basketball net is also available.

It's a nice park for kids... An outdoor/concrete basketball court is also included in the park... I would caution anyone bringing their kids though‼️... as the concrete basketball court is very uneven...it therefore wouldn't take much for a serious fall or an ankle twist... Another thing is that because dog owners use the park as well & not all of them are as diligent in picking up after their pets... I would strongly caution parents not to let their kids walk barefooted outside of the sand area because animal feeces are quite common on the grass areas just outside of the sandy playing zone‼️

Ok park to take my dog. There’s a nice cherry blossom tree there. However it needs some work. First of all there is only 1 basketball net in a court that should have 2. Second, the court itself is in pretty rough shape and needs to be repaved. Third, the city doesn’t pay enough attention to landscaping here leaving the park very messy with broken branches, garbage, long grass and leaves everywhere. This leaves community members and nearby residents to gather and pickup the garbage them selves. Be sure to watch out for these hazards when walking your pets or the little ones!!
