The food is so comforting soooo good! It’s our first Afghan meal so we didn’t know what to expect! We order the classic “Lamb Shank” with kabuli rice . The rice is sooooo light and flavourful! The Beef tikka was amazing. Tender and juicy. Oh the naan bread, it looks dry but don’t be fool! It’s soft and fresh! The dessert- we ordered it coz there’s a flyer on the door. It’s frozen milk ( ice cream freshly made) packed wjth flavors - cardamom, rose water and oh pistachios! I am allergic to hot spicy and everything we ordered were not spicy! So it’s safe !

The food here is delicious, the portion size are good. I would say a plate is a good portion for two people if you also get an appetizer. Though the plate itself served in isn’t practical to eat from. We had the half tandoori chicken dinner which was delicious and the appetizer sampler, had a little bit of everything, mantu, banjan, bolani and I think wings. We has plenty of left overs. Not sure if the restaurant has tap water, most places would but they provide in house branded water. Which is an additional charge (a little surprise when the bill came). We were sat down and automatically served bottles of waters and menu. Would appreciate being informed. Smart marketing with the in house brand water bottle. Hi it looks like I can’t reply to the owners response to my review so I will add it here. Hi! Thanks so much for commenting it’s great to see the owners responding to reviews. Sadly I will not be changing my rating of 3 stars as it is the overall rating base on my experience visiting the premise. It is a positive review reflective of my experience. If we were provided the option to choose between tap and bottle and informed why which is recommended I would have gladly go base on recommendations. However that is not the case, we were seated, provided with menus and bottled waters upon being seated before asking any question. I appreciate the prompt delivery of water, however if an item is going to be charged, it is courtesy to be informed. I stand by my 3 star rating and I will not be changing it to a higher star as you have requested. I understand that you are working hard on earning good reviews, and this is mine base on my experience. I appreciate the comment back! Thank you !

We had such a great experience at Bread and Salt Afghan Cuisine. The food was incredibly delicious, and the portions were huge — perfect for sharing and trying a bit of everything. We came around 6 PM and the place wasn’t busy at all, so our food arrived in about 10–15 minutes. Our server, Ali, was super friendly and made the whole experience even nicer. If you’re looking for generous portions, amazing flavours, and a relaxed dining experience, this place is definitely worth visiting!

Tried this cute spot and loved it 🩷 Their portions are very generous and the flavours were great! It wasnt too spicy and food wasnt dry so that's always a plus! The staff here are so nice and helpful so feel free to ask any questions about the menu. The spot is spacious with amazing interior so great for bigger groups too. Definitely give this place a visit!

This is a family-run restaurant and catering, offering authentic Afghan cuisine in a family-friendly setting. The space is simple and welcoming, and the team takes pride in serving traditional Afghan dishes made with care. The menu includes favourites like kebabs, chapli, lentil korma, and lamb tikka, all served with fragrant rice and house‑made bread. Prices are fair, and the service is friendly and attentive. We ordered “Greek Salad”, “Tandoori Tikka Skewer” and “Mix Grill 4 (Dinner Plate)”. The food was presented nicely and the ingredients were fresh.
