Dracula’s Library was our third escape room at Captive, and we had a coupon we planned to use. Our previous experiences here have always been great, but this visit started off awkward when our game master seemed to almost force us to use the coupon for another time. She only stopped after we mentioned we’d already played the other rooms. We appreciate that we were given a bit of extra time, but we still weren’t able to finish and were stuck on the final puzzle. It would have been nice if our game master had taken a minute or two to show us how the puzzle was solved instead of giving a vague verbal explanation since other friends who did this room said they were given a proper walkthrough.

Such a fun experience!! It is challenging but the set up is amazing and good for even 2 people. The staff is super friendly too, walks you through the whole story once you’re done!

Visited for the first time, kiddo's loved it. Since it was pre-booked, no waiting. Will definitely come again.

The room was very fun to complete. Not too hard and not too easy and great puzzles and decorations. I like the concept of 13 doors and an invitation. The two workers were very nice, helpful, and accommodating when we needed hints/when we finished they took our pics and were friendly. Thank you for our best escape room experience! We aren’t from Mississauga but we will definitely come back if we can next visit :)

Unfortunately, this was the worst escape room experience I’ve had. We tried charlotte’s basement, The game was poorly designed and the puzzles were not interesting or engaging. Many of the clues felt off-track, and we couldn’t understand the actual objective of the game. When we asked for hints or explanations, the host’s attitude was unwelcoming and came across as dismissive, making faces as if we should already know the answers. We have visited several other escape rooms, and this one did not meet expectations. I would not recommend it and definitely won’t be returning.
