This giant outdoor plaza is definitely the absolute heart and soul of downtown Mississauga! Visitors really enjoy hanging out here because there is always something super fun going on. In the hot summer, kids love splashing around in the giant outdoor water fountain, and people gather to watch free movies on the huge TV screens. In the freezing winter, the whole plaza magically turns into an amazing, shiny outdoor ice-skating rink.

I was so happy I was gonna skate today like a figure skater even tho I am not that good at skating. All my hopes were shattered as I entered the ring and it was closed. It says open online. My aura has gone down my cousin says cuz the rink is closed

These events never disappoint. There’s always something new happening every weekend, and this time it was the Mississauga SNOW FESTIVAL, which was absolutely amazing. APIX brought in a full snowboarding experience, turning the area into a high-energy winter playground. Watching people snowboard over different setups was wild and so much fun. They also had plenty of activities and games for kids, making it a great event for families. On top of that, there was a unique wine experience with ice boxes set up for winery tastings and drinks, which added a really nice touch. Overall, it was an incredible experience, honestly one of the best events I’ve been to in downtown Mississauga. Definitely check it out before February 5 if you get the chance.
