  I have only the most heart-felt words to share about Como Lake Kids Village Daycare! When our previous much-loved day care had to close, we were on the search for a new daycare and preschool program for our then 3 year old. The stars aligned for us to be able to attend Como Lake Kids Village Daycare. Our family had experience with 2 other daycares before this one, and we had a clear list of things that were important to us. We were looking for a daycare with strong communication skills between the manager, teacher and caregivers, and families; we wanted to feel the love and care for the children and not feel like ‘one-of-many;’ we wanted a calm, structured, and fun environment that would allow chances for lots of play and activities to set a tone for school-readiness. Como-Lake Kids Village accomplished all of these wishes plus more! The owners, Pat and Betsy, the manager, Jo-ann, and all the other teachers set an amazing tone at this daycare/preschool. Everyone is always friendly and welcoming and I could feel the love and care for the children in the interactions of the staff and in the activities, they plan. My child always felt excited and purposeful during her school days at Como Lake Kids Village. They run a preschool program in the mornings with literacy and numeracy themed activities daily for the children. They do take-home crafts related to what they are learning almost daily, which is a huge undertaking to prepare the activities for all of their students. My child loved their activities and would be sad to miss out on them if she needed to be away. The communication at Como Lake Kids Village is top notch. The manager, Jo-ann, is a prompt and clear communicator. She is sure to pass along any needs you have for your child to the other staff. There is a classroom sized group of children, who attend the daycare and there is always a great ratio of staff to students. The staff do an amazing job at knowing each child well and clearly communicating anything needed home. This daycare goes above and beyond for creating community and fun activities! The Christmas Concert is the cutest and best thing ever!! These 3 and 4 year old kiddos learn 7 or more songs with actions that they perform for the parents. It was a highlight of our holiday season! In the summer, they have a camping themed day with a big outside tent. They do mini-car washes with Little Tykes cars on hot summer days to cool off. They have soccer classes weekly during certain seasons with instructors that come in to teach. They also provide morning and afternoon snacks with pancake day once a week, which the kids love! The indoor and outdoor play space at this daycare is wonderful! They have access to a large auditorium/ gymnasium space for the kids to run on those very rainy, wet and cold days. They also have a great outdoor playground with lots of age appropriate play equipment. My child loved the neighbourhood walks and trips to the park that they would take frequently. Most importantly this has been a safe, nurturing, and fun space for my child to learn and grow with friends and amazing teachers and care providers. Being with a class sized cohort of children was just what my child was ready for at 3 years old and was the perfect thing to experience pre-kindergarten. We loved everything about Como Lake Kids Village Daycare and are thankful that she was able make wonderful memories and have such a great experience in her preschool years.

  My little one recently transitioned from another daycare that catered more to infants and toddlers, and I can’t say enough about how wonderful this new daycare has been in supporting that change. From the very first day, the teachers have shown incredible kindness, patience, and understanding - they took the time to get to know my daughter, make her feel comfortable, and help her build confidence in her new environment. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and truly care about each child’s wellbeing and development. They communicate so well with parents, are always open and approachable, and treat every child with such warmth and respect. My daughter comes home every day excited to tell us about her friends, what she learned, and all the fun activities they did. We’ve noticed such amazing growth in her - she’s become so much more independent, and she’s proud of all the new things she’s learning. As a parent, there’s no better feeling than knowing your child is safe, happy, and cared for by people who truly love what they do. I would recommend this daycare without hesitation to any parent looking for a nurturing, enriching, and genuinely caring environment. We feel incredibly lucky to have found them! 💓

  Love this daycare!! We couldn't be happier with our experience at Como Lake Kids Village. Our son attended this location for many years and since the first day the staff made our son (and me!) feel welcome, comfortable and most importantly, safe. I am so impressed with the activities they plan, outdoor walks, play ground time, picnics, and on the really rainy days they have access to a full sized gymnasium upstairs for the kids to run around, play with balls etc. My son loved it!! They even bring in a soccer camp every year for the kids to get that opportunity at much less cost than it is to register them through an association! Our son would come home daily with new concepts learned and amazing arts & crafts. He even knew how to count in different languages which was a wild surprise for us!! Communication from staff to parents was excellent. We were always informed of milestones, daily routines or progress of our child in regards to developmental stages etc. It always came from a kind, patient and nurturing environment. I highly recommend this location, you won't regret it!

  My daughter attended Como Lake Village daycare from 2.5 years old until starting kindergarten and had the most wonderful experience there. She was so well cared for by all the teachers, who went out of their way to make her feel safe, special and loved. Because of the supportive care she received at the daycare, my daughter was able to enter Kindergarten as a happy, social and self-confident little girl. My only regret is that we couldn’t send our son here because we moved out of the area. I highly highly recommend this daycare for anyone looking for a place to send their child.

  We had such a wonderful experience with this daycare. The teachers truly care for the children and provide great care every single day. During the two years my child attended, I always felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. All of the staff bring such positive energy and have a genuine love for the children. It is a very warm place, and I could see how much my child was loved and supported throughout his time there. We are so grateful for everything this daycare has done for our family. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a caring and supportive environment for their child.
