Amazing hiking trails in the forest and around the lake, with the opportunity to sit and admire nature on benches with tables installed right above the lake along the trail. We were lucky enough to see two enormous turtles in the lake! We also visited the Iroquois Longhouse, which is very impressive. The parking lot is spacious. Our dog was also very happy.:)

We had a great time here! We booked the morning Lake & Longhouse tour on a Thursday and found that it far exceeded expectations. We were the only ones who booked the tour, so we essentially had a private guide. Our guide, a self-proclaimed tech nerd, was very careful to check our background and knowledge levels with us, so he could customise the tour. He told us to interrupt him if he went into too much detail or if he told us things we already knew. We asked so many questions during the tour, and he kindly answered (almost) all of them. While we were there, there were also a bunch of school kids. When a group of five-year-olds was momentarily without a guide, our guide took care to include them in his explanations also, which was really sweet. In the end, we went quite a bit over time with the tour, but I was still sad when it ended. He didn't just cover the Iroquoian village and lake and their histories in his explanations, he also put them in the context of modern-day society and politics. Finally, through our guide I finally learnt to recognise poison ivy. It was about time. After the tour we had a nice walk around the lake then hiked up to rattlesnake point. Almost, because the trails around rattlesnake point are closed, but we still had some nice lookout points and a lovely hike on the way.

Good place for tracks & trails. I was not sure about the charges or reservations, but you can pay at check-in if not reserved before. Nice place to go around with family. Not much of an activity for kids, so they were bored & tired of walking. Nice view of lake & bridge was nice.
