  DMS Belleville is truly the most Authentic Montessori school I have come across in the whole Belleville/Trenton area. Each classroom follows an authentic montessori program and it’s is evident that each activity is thoughtfully chosen based on the needs and wants of each child. The teachers are warm and welcoming and the facility is bright, organized and extremely clean. The atmosphere is perfect for little learners and the opportunity for learning never ends. The communication between teachers/ admin/ owner has been great as well. the Owner and founder Dina is extremely involved in the school and is truly so passionate about Montessori and ensuring it is done correctly!!! She never fails to greet each child, parent and staff when she sees them and brightens up everyone’s day.   We’ve been with DMS Montessori since before the school first opened (waiting eagerly and patiently), and I honestly can’t say enough good things. From the start, we’ve been so impressed with the quality of education, the caring nature of every single staff member, and the open, transparent communication with both the administration and teachers. My daughter started in Pre-CASA with Miss Hallie, who is such a gentle soul. She skillfully uses positive reinforcement and strengths-based language in such a natural way when guiding toddlers—I’ve even picked up a few things from her that I observed, and now use myself at home. My daughter has since moved into the CASA classroom with Miss Leah, who brings such a calm and steady energy. You can tell the kids trust her leadership, and it creates such a safe and welcoming classroom environment that it did not take my daughter long to warm up to the new class, even though she misses Miss Hallie and her friends in PreCASA. My daughter has grown to love the support staff, Miss Char, Miss Alex, Miss Kennedy and Mr Cam. She talks about them at home, asks where they are, what they are doing, etc. I think she feels they are her friends too! They help to ensure all the children's needs are met, that eyes are on each and every child at all times and it is clear the staff have a strong team dynamic. I also have to give a special shoutout to Chef Nikki. Having a private chef prepare healthy, nutritious meals every day for toddlers is such a gift—and honestly, toddlers are tougher critics than Chef Ramsey, so kudos to you Chef Nikki! Since starting at DMS in June 2025, my daughter has grown so much. She’s now fully potty-trained thanks to the support of the teachers and staff, her vocabulary has exploded, and she comes home happy and excited to tell us about her day—stories about her teachers, her friends, the activities she did. There hasn't been a single day that my daughter hasn't been excited to go to school, which is a good test of the environment DMS provides. They’re doing everything from science experiments to outdoor play, and also teaching independence through daily tasks like washing hands, putting on shoes, and caring for their environment. We can not wait for the field trip to the apple orchard this month. The school really does live and breathe the Montessori philosophy and pedagogy. Their standards align with my values and expectations as a parent currently working in higher education/post-secondary, who has high standards for their child's early education. The school environment is always calm, organized, and secure. There’s no chaos, just a wonderful sense of enriched learning opportunity— as a school should. Another reason I wanted a school-based daycare for my daughter is that it’s reliable—open every single day, with before and after school care, even throughout the summer months, which is rare to find in childcare right now. For me, the investment has been worth every penny. The tuition is comparable to what we would have paid for private home daycare, but here I know my daughter is getting so much more than just a place to go while I work— the structure, the curriculum, the positive socialization— it is more than I could give her myself at home, which makes me feel good about sending her to school each day. I feel so grateful she gets to be a part of this community, and that DMS has opened here in Belleville. Thank you!

The environment is safe, nurturing, and inspiring, with dedicated rooms for music, sensory exploration, and even an indoor physical gym, facilities that most schools simply don’t have. The teachers are caring, knowledgeable, and always go the extra mile. The owner, Dina, is incredibly hands-on and genuinely passionate about education. She is deeply committed to both the children’s development and the teachers’ growth and success, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere throughout the school. Communication with families is excellent, and the overall experience sets a high standard for childcare and early education in the community. Highly recommend!
