  My 5 year old has struggled with chronic respiratory issues and ear infections since birth, averaging 10–12 ear infections per year. By age four, she was considered a candidate for tonsil and adenoid removal. She was a mouth breather, had asthma, and her mood was often affected among a plethora of other symptoms. Most frightening of all, she would stop breathing in her sleep. I was terrified of losing my little girl, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that there had to be an alternative to surgery and there was! This past spring, we met Dr. Ian Gray and his amazing dental team. We decided to move forward with top and bottom expanders as part of a holistic treatment approach. Dr. Gray and his staff were incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and patient with all of my concerns. Since beginning treatment, the results have been nothing short of incredible. We’ve seen visible improvements after each visit. Her facial structure has begun to change, her sleep apnea has significantly improved, and her mood is so much better.   We started researching airway dentistry after we took our 3 year old son to an ENT for snoring and were dismissed and told he would "grow out of it". Dr. Gray and his team took a comprehensive set of images and measurements and explained that our son's snoring and airway problems were likely caused by his tongue tie and subsequent under developed palate. We started using the Bio Activator with him in Jan. It is a soft mouth guard and even at 3.5 years old he has taken to wearing it so well when he sleeps. He puts it in himself and sleeps with it all night. It only took him about a week to get used to it. It has stopped his snoring and we have already seen small improvements in his energy levels, needing less naps, and attention after 2 months. We are looking forward to ongoing check ups and even more improvements the longer he has it. Dr. Gray's group has been great supporting us on this journey!

  I found Dr Gray on YouTube looking for alternatives for sleep apnea because the cpap machines didn’t work for me. I travelled from Northern Ontario to see him and have started with a bioactivator appliance to correct my mouth issues. So far after 3 months and using the appliance every night I am already seeing a difference - I no longer wake up with a headache and my tinnitus is diminishing. I have a long road ahead but Dr Gray and his staff have been great explaining every step and accommodating me with zoom appointments because of our distance. Highly recommend Dr Gray and his amazing staff.

  My daughter of 4.5 was referred to Dr.Gray , for mouth breathing, large adenoid and tonsils. An assessment was done and we got the bioactivator, in less than 2 months i saw improvements in her sleep and breathing, her teeth started to have improvements, the staff are very kind,supportive and patient. Most importantly the clinic is organized. I am very happy that we didn’t do the adenoid surgery and took this route.
