  We registered our daughter at Durham Montessori when she was 3 in 2021, and it was the best decision we made for her. Her teachers—Ms. Grixti, Ms. Andrea, and Ms. Sassy—were just amazing, making her three years there enjoyable and memorable. The way they nurtured her growth and learning was truly remarkable. I highly recommend DMSD to any parent considering it for their child. It's a wonderful place where children thrive!

  My daughter just graduated from DMSD’s Casa 3 (SK) program. She has been attending this school since we moved to Whitby 3 years ago. There are no words to express my gratitude for the Casa 3 teachers Ms. Grixti, Ms. Andra, and Ms. Sasi. My daughter woke up every morning with a smile on her face ready to attend school. She always enthusiastically spoke about the new school work lessons Ms. Grixti taught her and she developed a true love for learning. It is also easy to see the kind and compassionate attitude her teachers helped instill in her. She is now a confident and happy student ready for Grade 1. Thank you Ms. Grixti and all the DMSD staff for all you have done. Both my kids have attended Montessori schools where we lived and this one will definitely always be treasured by our family.   This is the 2nd year that my son has been attending to Durham Montessori School & Daycare and we don’t have enough good words for this school. When our son joined, he barely knew any words in English. The teachers were so accommodating, patient and helpful with him. There is nothing more reassuring as parents when your child feels secure and happy. They are just incredible with the work they do everyday with the children. We love that DMSD has a true Montessori program. It is so structured; they have language, math, science & culture classes, etc. We are amazed how much our son learns everyday. Imagine our surprise when one day he came home naming Canada's province & territories and even continents while singing a song. Daily reports from HiMama App and especially weekly photos of my son just make my day. The classrooms are cozy and especially clean. I highly recommend DMSD and want to thank Nancy and all the teachers for the amazing work that they do.

  We couldn't be happier with our experience so far at DMSD. From day one, the staff have been incredibly friendly, attentive and caring, making the transition seamless for our little one. The quality of learning here is outstanding - we're absolutely thrilled with her progress and the positive impact this daycare has had on her development. A huge thank you to the amazing team (Ms. Madi + team in casa 1, Ms. Rana and Ms. Sasi) - I highly recommend them to any parents looking for a loving, enriching place for their little ones.

  An Amazing Experience at Durham Montessori School and Daycare! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Durham Montessori School and Daycare! After a disappointing experience at a CWELCC daycare ($10/day) where my daughter was often sent home with a full diaper, dirty clothes and face, and little to no communication from her teachers—we knew we had to make a change. From the moment we enrolled her at Durham Montessori, we saw an immediate and incredible difference! The staff here are caring, attentive, and truly dedicated to each child’s development. Communication with her teachers was excellent; I always knew how her day went and what she was learning. She came home every day clean, happy, and excited to go back. Within just the first month, she developed independence, learning how to put on and take off her shoes and jacket all by herself. One of the most impressive things has been her academic progress. She is learning French every day and now calls out things around the house in French! She has also already learned the names of all the provinces and territories of Canada, which amazes us. Durham Montessori School and Daycare has truly been a game-changer for our family. If you are looking for a nurturing, structured, and enriching environment where your child will thrive, I highly recommend this school!
