We went to their Nature and Me program at Toogood Pond Park every week until we moved away from Markham this summer. The staff are wonderful with kids and have such creative activities!

We were honestly shocked and disappointed by our experience at this EarlyON. It was our baby’s first visit, and at only eight months old, he initially did great. Later on, as the room became more crowded and the singing activities began, he understandably grew overwhelmed and started to cry. What truly stunned us was that a staff member suggested we should take the baby “step outside” because our baby was crying. We have attended many EarlyON centres, and not once have we encountered this kind of treatment. At every other location, when a baby cries which is completely normal, all the staff respond with kindness, patience, and encouragement for both the baby and the parents. They understand that babies cry, and that’s a part of learning to be in a new environment. It is beyond disappointing that this particular EarlyON chose to make us feel unwelcome instead. Frankly, if this is the approach to “early childhood education” here, we’re not impressed. We have no intention of returning, regardless of how nice the facility itself might be. If parents and babies are going to be treated with this kind of dismissiveness and lack of compassion, we’d rather spend our time at a park or walk through a mall anywhere we won’t be made to feel ashamed for having a baby who cries. I honestly have no idea how this place has a 4.8-star rating on Google. This experience was a clear reminder that a pleasant physical space means nothing if the staff cannot create an environment of warmth and acceptance for families. We hope this feedback leads to serious reflection, because this is not how EarlyON centres should be run!!!

This is my favorite EarlyON center. The staff are amazing and caring. Leslie, Flor, Marcy, Arlene, Mama Luz are amazing and super helpful! The family fun outdoor program (rain/shine/snow) is one of the best programs - so much thought and effort are put in by the staff.
