Building itself is showing age, but staff & programs are all good. I go here for Pickleball and badminton. I will try the hiking trail when it gets warm.

We rent the Full basketball court for weekly runs. Floors are nice and clean, glass backboard, spacious sideline/walls/baseline. Padded walls at the baseline in case you drive hard and find yourself out of space. Staff are friendly. Can't ask for more.

Normally, I don’t review community centres, but I felt it was important to share my experience at Elgin West in Richmond Hill. I’ve been there with Autism Ontario—though I can’t recall the exact year—and I’ve noticed a few issues that stand out. The main problem with this place is that it often feels overcrowded, especially during the summer camp programs. There are children roaming around the area, and at times, it seems like there’s a lack of structure in how activities are organized. I know management has tried to make improvements, but unfortunately, it hasn’t made much of a difference. One positive feature is the large playground—it’s definitely a nice addition for families. However, I do have some concerns about the summer camp itself. Based on both my own observations and other reviews I’ve seen, there have been times when a staff member isolated a child or was one-on-one with a child without any activity happening. That kind of situation could make a child feel left out or bored, and it’s something that management should take seriously. The facilities could also use some attention. The change rooms are quite small and cluttered, and the showers sometimes fluctuate between hot and cold, which can be frustrating.
