I went to Fire Spot excited to have another dessert option in the plaza. Upon entering we were met with multicoloured walls and patterned carpeting reminiscent more of a bowling alley than a dessert spot. The ambiance felt a little chaotic rather than cozy. As we moved on to the menu, there was a wide variety of options, which initially seemed promising. However, the food didn’t quite hit the mark. We tried the Fire Spot Fusion—a combination of gulab jamun and ice cream—but it was overwhelmingly sweet, making it difficult to eat more than a few bites. The pistachio crunch crepe was another miss; the pistachio ice cream lacked the rich, nutty depth expected, coming across as rather bland and synthetic. Hoping it was a one-off experience, I gave Fire Spot another chance. Unfortunately, the second visit only reinforced my disappointment, as the food quality remained underwhelming. While the concept is interesting, the recipes and aesthetic need some work to make it shine.

Went in for a scoop of ice cream and noticed that the girl was scooping it into a plastic disposable cup….i was already confused as to why there wasn’t proper ice cream cups. I didn’t say anything until she brought it over and rung it up at $9+ dollars?!? I’d have to be insane to spend almost $10 hours on a mediocre scoop of ice cream. I refused it and left. Then went to Nani’s Gelato and paid $6 for a huge scoop and muck better presentation than a plastic cup. Firespot needs to do better. I always wonder why it’s empty despite being in such a good spot in the plaza.

Unfortunately this place does not hit the mark. The owner was nice and helpful but he's competing in a very saturated market with a subpar product. There was absolutely not a single soul when we went in, decided to give it a try because we were a larger group and every other well known dessert place was packed. Ordered a crepe. For $20 we got freezer burnt ice creme, paper plates and plastic cutlery that can't cut through the crepe. The Karak was good, can't complain about it. I think most of the positive reviews are from when this place had different ownership. I doubt this place survives for much longer and I'm sure the owner is looking for an exit.

Good experience but could be better. The Location is very tight. The tables were not clean. The person on the counter was very helpful in guiding us on the SnowCone and Icecream. Taste was great, Deserts were nice but the quality of the restaurant should be better. I mean it is an expensive spot and for that money I except excellent service and deifnately clean tables all the time. And probably bigger portions. Chocolate Ice Cream was good but very small portion for price tag of $18. Snowball was good but again for $15 plus, it could be have been better and bigger. Have to be convinced to go back again. Parking is an issue as usual in that area.

I don’t usually like leaving negative reviews, but I want to be honest. Overall, this place wasn’t great. The ice cream was very average and tasted like store bought frozen ice cream that was just presented nicely. For the quality, the pricing didn’t feel justified. The space is clean, but nothing special or memorable. The one positive was the service. The owner was genuinely kind and helpful, which is the main reason I feel bad writing this. That said, based on the food alone, I probably wouldn’t return.
