  Our family's journey with Helping Hands in Whitby began 4 years ago during the pandemic. My eldest started there from a recommendation by a speech therapist and now my youngest attends the daycare. The supervisor and staff have and continue to be friendly, engaging, and great with the kids across the centre. Both kids have learned so much from doing activities, storytime, and free play time which has benefited with the transition to school. The use of an app to send updates with pictures throughout the day is also a lovely touch and will be missed when our youngest graduates. Overall, it has been a great place to send both kids and I will always recommend it.

  My child attended this daycare for a while, but we ultimately decided to move them due to concerns with one of the teachers in the toddler room - Sarah. Unfortunately, she lacked the essential qualities you would expect from a daycare professional. She often appeared disengaged and rarely greeted parents, coming across as unapproachable. Her demeanor was consistently gloomy, which didn’t create a welcoming or nurturing environment for the children. I highly recommend that she take inspiration from other staff members, who demonstrate genuine care, empathy, and compassion toward the kids. To the owner, it’s crucial to provide ongoing training for your staff and ensure they uphold the standards expected of daycare professionals. Doing so will help maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment for the children.
