The educators are invested in and care about my daughter's development and wellbeing. I am always amazed by the new skills and words she has acquired through the quality care she receives. She absolutely adores her educators, to the point where she asks for them on weekends and is always excited to go to daycare. They do lots of fun activities with the littles, and the daycare center manager runs a tight ship which I really appreciate as a parent. Communication is clear and direct, and any changes are well communicated with lots of notice given. I have heard horror stories from friends about their daycare experiences, so I know we are so lucky with Jolly Giant Portsmouth.

  I really enjoy Jenny, teacher Sea, and the rest of the wonderful staff at Jolly Giant Portsmouth. I’ve liked the way the staff handles and cares for my child. I’ve watched all the staff build a strong connection with my child, and I’ve felt safe leaving my kid here over the years. I feel Jenny is very professional and understanding. I’ve enjoyed briefly talking to her when I drop my child off, and she always respects my wishes and try’s fulfilling our needs. We are moving and I’m very sad to leave this daycare… as we have gotten attached to the staff. Even though I have given a 5 star rating due to the staff, I would like to inquire about one issue (that is not the staffs fault) : I don’t like not having options. There is a very strict rule of calling in before 9am for children to be able to attend daycare that day. Over time this has stressed me out tremendously. I wish there was more options, such as calling before 9am/booking your child in for certain days/calling in when child is sick and can’t attend. Only having one option does not work for everyone and different schedules. Even setting alarms I have still struggled with calling in on-time, and have missed work occasionally due to having overwhelming mornings. I hope in the future Jolly Giant can focus on fixing this issue for everyone’s different needs, as daycare is still a service. Thank you to all the staff for their hard work and kindness. You all will be greatly missed!
