For dogs (which was my reason for visiting ) it is an excellant way to get your dog some exercise as well as provding your dog opportunites to socialize with other dogs...and their owners. The kids park on the east side of Beresford seem to be popular and well maintained.

It would be nice if there were rubber mats all the way around the one side of the ice, right now they are only in front of the benches in the middle of the ice. The older kids were monopolizing the ice playing shinny, even though it was leisure skate time and getting first time and smaller skaters to the corner were there was no "high speed" hockey proved difficult. If the city can't or won't afford a rink guard or mats then maybe get somer better signs inside the fencing asking the shinny players to respect the leisure skate times.

Great little park, playground isn't the best but it's easy to supervise your kids while they play.
