  I write the review with tears in my eyes as my son is ageing out, and we had to pull him earlier than we had wanted in order to secure his spot in preschool. This was the first daycare we got into, and we really won the lottery. Fariba has created an environment for the children that far exceeded my expectations of what a daycare could provide. The children are cared for by the MOST empathetic, loving, caring, and nurturing women I have ever come across. Sally and Sophia truly care about the kids, and it really becomes apparent when my son asks to see them every morning and runs into their arms with a smile on his face. The parents receive daily updates through a group chat with pictures and videos throughout the day. The kids have some regimented learning time which is fun for them and they come home and practice their skills (my son at 2 yrs and 3 months was already counting to 10 and singing the days of the week). They also have plenty of unstructured play time. They take a gentle approach to potty training and don't force them until they are ready. They are kind, and the kids absolutely love these women who look after them each day. Also, food is catered to the daycare each day, so you don't have to worry about making food! They cater to your child's dietary needs, so there no need to worry. The kids also get regular outside time and it is incredibly apparent they have created a safe and loving community amongst the children (we often get videos of pictures of them hugging each other and playing and laughing). I wish there was a way to keep my son here for just a few months longer. I pleaded with the other preschool, but unfortunately, I am in a position where I have to take this spot, and as my son will be ageing out soon, I'm left without a choice. Thankfully we have another little one on the way, and I'm excited about them helping to raise our second. If you are looking for a place that checks all the boxes, look no further. Put your child's name on the waitlist, and if you are offered a spot, take it. I promise you won't have any regrets and you will be so happy it will be difficult to say goodbye. There is no better place than little steps. Thank you so much, Fariba, Sophia, and Sally, for taking the best care of our son. He will miss you terribly, but he will be visiting soon when his little brother joins your care ❤️.

  Our daughter thrived at Little Steps! For 2 years Sophia, Sally and Fariba took amazing care of her in a clean, bright and engaging environment. The daily photo updates and after school feedback were so valuable in helping us feel she was in good hands. The lunches, learning, art and play (and potty training!) were all expertly managed by people who genuinely care and showed our daughter more love than we'd ever have expected from a daycare.

  Little Steps was an amazing and supportive experience for our daughter and for us as parents. I trusted Fariba with my daughter from 8 months old and she took care of her like her own, along with one of the main teachers named Sophia who has been there for many years. My daughter had acid reflux disease and was a very challenging baby. Fariba and Sophia showed patience, empathy, and great care towards my daughter that I will never ever forget. My daughter, now 3 years old, is kind and welcoming to others and I feel like this was fostered at Little Steps by all the teachers (Sophia, Sally, and Jeet). We all made friends from there that are truly wonderful and it is just such a fantastic place.

  We put our son into this daycare at 12.5 months and from the beginning they were very accommodating and helped him adjust to their schedule. Fariba and Sophia are so caring and my son loves them! I can see how much he's thriving and learning from being there. It's a wonderful environment and I enjoy seeing all the photos of their daily activities. I highly recommend registering your infant/toddler here, you will not be disappointed!

  I have had a great experience with leaving my daughter in hands of competent, loving, and attentive teachers (Sally, Sophia, Jeet) and experienced and empathetic director (Fariba). We were new in Vancouver and finding Fariba's daycare was a pure luck for me. Through the beautiful community Fariba has carefully created in Little Steps, we met wonderful parents and built priceless friendships with them and their beautiful children. Fariba is the best communicator, almost always available, supportive, ethical, reasonable and kind. She has a great level of sensitivity when it comes to choosing her daycare's teachers--who are willing to stay in LS for years (no to low turnover). Their safety measures are reassuring for parents who are looking for a safe place to leave their babies and toddlers. Meals are nutritious and diverse. Potty training is collaborative (with parents) and reinforcing. Babies are held in the arms of loving teachers when they are distressed (I have seen that many times over 18 months of sending my daughter to LS). You would feel lucky if you get a spot for your child in LS.
