Mini Skool has exceeded our expectations in every way. The teachers were nurturing, patient and highly engaged with the children. We would leave for work worry-free knowing our kids are in good hands. We moved but our children still talk about this wonderful place.

After a lot of reflection I decided to share my review of Mini-Skool, if possible I would give zero star quite frankly. I enrolled my daughter in the Mini-Skool Church location at Truscott Drive for the summer camp. One day while I was at work, I got a call from one of the teachers, Iqruh, that my daughter is crying and wants to talk to me. When Iqruh gave her the phone, my daughter told me that she asked the other teacher Julie if she could sit on a beanbag near the door because it was really hot outside and she was not feeling well but Julie yelled at her infront of the other children and everyone laughed at her. I tried to calm my daughter down and told Iqruh to give my daughter some quiet time. I also sent a friend to check up on my daughter as I couldn't leave work and my friend told me she observed Julie being rude and dismissive to the children and ignoring them while she was on her phone and the kids were hitting each other infront of her, for goodness sake. On another occasion, another teacher Laura pushed my daughter and yelled at her to hurry up while she was getting her leftover snack from the kitchen. This triggered my daughter, and when Laura blocked the exit door, my daughter asked her to move. Instead, Laura pushed my daughter again, leading to my daughter defending herself by pushing her away. Laura retaliated by yelling and degrading my daughter, using derogatory language. My daughter told me she felt unsafe returning to Mini-Skool because the teacher are not just verbally assaulting but also physically assaulting her and she made excuses to stay at home. It's obvious that Julie and Laura lack the patience, knowledge, and compassion required to support children. These employees use baby voices in front of the parents, but behind closed doors, they raise their voices at the children, which can be overheard from outside. The center director, Kayla, and management staff Minza also demonstrated unprofessional behavior by escalating issues and arguing with my daughter on behalf of these teachers and neglected my child. Throughout the summer camp, Julie and Laura continued to report negatively about my daughter without offering any constructive suggestions for support. Mini-Skool's advertisement for an inclusive environment is misleading, and it's concerning that these teachers are working with children on the autism spectrum. Regarding field trips, they were often postponed, canceled, or misleading due to the center's unprofessionalism and disorganization. The food menu was also misleading. The children mostly ate pasta for lunch. For field trips, they were given a sandwich in a ziplock bag with a small packet of Lay’s Chips and an orange to carry in their backpacks. When I expressed concerns about bacterial growth due to hot weather, the Room 10 teacher attributed the decision to the directors and when another parent shared similar concerns, Julie also dismissed them, saying it would be okay. I hope my insight will support other parents to be mindful of sending their kids to this location.

I am a home-owner in the neighborhood of the Mini-Skool location at the Sheridan Church, which I know is an extension of the Bromsgrove branch. Because I work from home and my backyard faces the play area, I regularly observe the program. Despite multiple conversations and emails to management for several months now, issues with supervision and safety continue. The children are often swearing, yelling and hitting each other close to the fence and shed area, all due to poor supervision by the staff, no rules and a lack of engagement between staff and children. The children are often seen going behind the shed. Teachers should not allow children to go behind the shed as they cannot supervise them effectively. I have witnessed several concerning incidents: a tall child escaping the play area while screaming for help, a teacher dragging a child across the yard, and on November 13th, 2025 a child missing a shoe and without a jacket running towards the community center screaming for help. These incidents involved the same teacher. I did not want to post a public review, but I feel I have no choice. Children frequently trespass onto my property and damage both my yard fence and also the neighborhood fence. During the Christmas period, children threw large rocks that seemed to be garden rocks and large sticks into my backyard while the teacher appeared to be disengaged. She didn’t even realize kids were speaking to me and swearing at me. I often observe staff are on their phones or sitting far from the children. On January 19th, afternoon around 2pm a child threw a large, rusty iron rod, and the same supervising teacher did not bother. She was texting on the phone. My concern is for both my property and the children’s safety. Children are getting stuck while climbing the fences and children are helping each other to get down. It feels like only a matter of time before someone will seriously get hurt.

My nephew goes to mini Skool and he loves it so much. The front desk staff I’ve dealt with, Minza, Betty, and Renise are always super friendly and helpful. The teachers are extremely kind and attentive to the kids. I’ve never had an issue with this organization. Thank you Mini Skool for being great and keep doing what you do. Anyone speaking ill about this place probably had a one off or is miserable in life.

I couldn’t be happier with the care my child receives at this daycare. The staff is incredibly kind and patient. Our son has been going to Miniskool for over 2 years and he loves it. He is excited to be there, to try new activities, spend time with his teachers and his friends. I’m grateful to have found a place where my child feels happy, supported, and loved.
