  Updated review: The old manager and staff were amazing. Going back now in the toddler room is traumatising to see how the new staff treat toddlers!! Awful experience with my 18 mnth old. We have seen enough in 3 days to not send him again there. Even though we’re going to lose the money we paid for the rest of the month but for his mental health safety we don’t mind losing the money. They’re completely careless ones! They treat toddlers as if they’re not babies anymore! Not even kind to them! It was just his second day and They left my kid have the sleeping time without a blanket!! They didn’t even bother to call me to ask about it or if I can bring him one. They didn’t even use his jacket as a blanket if they really care! Instead I picked him up during the nap and his body was freezing! Also he had scratches on his chin that no one told me about it and when I asked how did he get them ,they don’t know!!!

  My family is forever thankful and blessed that the YMCA Rdgeway was able to take my daughter in for the preschool program. The staff are caring and a group of well trained and professionals within the ECE field. My daughter built amzaing relationships with all the staff and made so many new friends. We will always miss our time at the Y and hope to be apart of the YMCA family for years to come. Thank you to the amazing staff at the YMCA Ridgeway for this memorable preschool experiene.

  I would not recommend leaving your children here. The management is incompetent, the staff is negligent. The safety is inadequate, the cleaning is poor (not washing hands after changing diapers, not cutting nails), and the poor treatment of children. Despite repeated requests for the teachers, supervisors and managers, nothing has improved. The teachers are uncooperative and do not encourage surprises check ups from parents to hide any questions. Several parents and I have already pulled our children out of this daycare and head office will be made aware of these serious concerns that are neglected by the YMCA’s management. And must but cameras in this place it’s very important.

  Our little started in the infant program and now is a senior preschooler. We’ll be sending our youngest soon as well. What an amazing centre! The staff are warm and welcoming! I was apprehensive at first, because our oldest never went to daycare so when our second started I had some big feelings. Well, fast-forward a couple years and we already put our third down for a future spot, while I was still pregnant. As a mom with a career, this team makes me feel at ease that my children are going to thrive in their care. The staff are amazing! Everyone is so caring and kind. They have big smiles, and are always so welcoming, and on the days when our little is having a tough day, there are always loving hugs to nurture her. We’re so fortunate for them. Speech delays run in our family, and we can already see marked improvements in the developmental milestones of our second vs our first. We have recommended this daycare time and time again to those in the community. 5 stars all the way!
