A wonderful not for profit gallery where you can participate and learn or just go to see great works like these examples from one of their ongoing shows.

A wonderful not for profit community arts organization located in a park like setting. No admission is required to walk through the gallery or through the studios observing and absorbing another person's inner voice through: calligraphy, looming, rug hooking, quilting, painting and shadow boxing. An active, yet serene place to unleash your creative spirit, whether you are a novice or an experienced artisan. Membership is $100/yr; it provides the opportunity to join one of the many resident groups and unique programs created for all ages. Recently the organization was granted charitable status and they are focused on raising funds to expand their programs to support seniors and at risk youth. Drop in on April 6, 2019 and visit this Spring's Hand Made Sale. I always enjoy the time I spend there on my own or with my family at one of their drop in events.

Neilson Park Creative Centre is like an artistic retreat nestled away in the most beautifully scenic corner of Etobicoke. Having just received official status as a charitable organization, it's the perfect location for artists and art lovers alike. There are art galleries that exhibit some incredibly talented artists, art studios where artists can create in an environment surrounded by those who work with similar media, and classes and workshops where beginners and experts alike can take courses tailored to their interests. Home to six Resident Groups that promote different areas of the art world, anyone who has an interest would be able to find something to suit their needs. In fact, it is not uncommon for members to belong to more than one Resident Group. Very conveniently located near Hwy 427 and Dundas West, NPCC is easy to get to and has ample parking. Their hours are long and there are always people there from morning to night, whether visiting the gallery, using the studios, or taking a class. Rental prices for the galleries and for the studios are extremely reasonable. The staff is extremely helpful, not to mention warm and inviting. There are always great events going on, from Speaker Series to their semi-annual Handmade Sale. For anyone who loves art, a home can definitely be found at Neilson Park Creative Centre!
