Another wonderful experience with Newmarket Optical. My daughter was looking for some frames. You would think this would be easy but it is a very difficult task. There are so many choices, colours and styles. The key it to find the pair that is suited for you and you'll love for a couple of years down the road. John, owner of Newmarket Optical has a remarkable reputation and talent to help you find the perfect frames every time. The entire staff are experienced and knowledgeable. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic people. Great service. Large selection of frames, skilled specialists, reasonable prices and good people - what else is needed?! Thank you for making my experience so smooth and quick. P.S. Fiorella is amazing! :)

Newmarket Optical has been my go-to optical store for all prescription lenses for years. More recently I walked in with a more urgent medical request and Fiorella, went above and beyond, to help me facilitate the request quickly and even contacted vendors behind the scenes to help get me best price on replacement lenses for a recent prescription change. Highly recommended.

I purchased Nano Vista baby glasses from this optician approximately 8 months ago. The frames are marketed as “indestructible” and were sold to us with a 36-month manufacturer warranty. On December 29, 2025, we attended the store to request warranty service for a hinge issue. We were initially advised that replacement parts would be at our expense, including a $30 “shipping” fee. We declined, as the product remains within the manufacturer’s warranty period. The optician routinely sells the hinges for $10, making the proposed warranty cost significantly higher than the retail price of the part. After we insisted that the hinges should be covered under warranty, the replacement part was ultimately provided at no cost. At the same time, we were explicitly told not to return to the store. Being told not to return effectively prevents our family from accessing warranty services through the original retailer for the remainder of the warranty period. This is concerning, particularly as the issue arose from a legitimate warranty claim. We are sharing this experience publicly so other customers are aware of how warranty claims may be handled.
