When I was searching for a bharathanatyam learning centre at Milton I came across Nirvana dance school suggested by a community watsapp group. I gave it a try and am glad I chose Nirvana dance school with Amrita as the instructor. Amrita’s teaching style is patient and encouraging. She demonstrates each step multiple times and breaks down complex movements into simpler parts, ensuring everyone could follow along and keeps the class engaged and lively. She is very interactive and attentive to each student. The class starts with a traditional warm-up, followed by basic steps (Adavus) and ends with a short piece of choreography. She provides individual feedback, gently correcting our postures and gestures to help us improve. Highly satisfied and looking forward to learn more of this beautiful dance form.

Amrita is a great teacher. She teaches my 5 year old and I already see improvement in my daughter’s ability to move and memorize steps. She works well with young children and sets an environment to help engage them. Dancing is an excellent way to keep the body active and a form of building confidence. Highly recommend if your child or you are interested in dancing.
