  Two visits, two bad experiences. Unpleasant, unprofessional and very arrogant. Would never recommend Dr. Tamara. First visit for two kids 11 years old daughter and 10 years old son. X-ray done and chatting about the x-ray results with Dr. Tamara for no more than 5 minutes in total, no cleaning, no treatment done. $300 each and was recommended to do URGENT underbite treatment for the son and the estimate cost was $3500. Dr. Tamara was rushing us to do the treatment and described it as urgently necessary. One year later, both kids were covered by CDCP, called to check if the CDCP covers the underbite treatment, front desk checked with Dr. Tamara and said will have to come in again for more x-rays and check up before they can let us know if it’s covered or not. Second visit, x-ray done then check up for also 5 minutes, the doctor is always in rush and act busy, disrespectful behaviour noticed by the doctor when we asked if the treatment is covered by CDCP. Dr. Tamara said that WE have to contact the CDCP to check what is covered and what is not, she said that is not her job to do! (I visited a different dentist and they immediately submitted an application for the CDCP and printed out the exact cost, and told us what will be covered by the insurance and the balance we need to pay). And for the main reason for our visit (the underbite treatment) she asked for another advanced imaging which is not covered by the insurance and has to be done by a different clinic before she can confirm the exact treatment needed, she said after getting the results of the advanced imaging she will refer us to a specialist who can decide the best possible treatment, Not sure why they scheduled us in the first place when they don’t do the advanced imaging needed and the doctor can’t decide the best possible treatment, I have no idea also how they recommend and quoted the $3500 treatment without having the advanced imaging done or consulting a specialist in our first visit! still no answer for whether the insurance covers it or not. The URGENT need for the treatment is not as urgent now. Not sure also how they give estimates on something they can’t do. Unprofessional, waste of time and money, very overpriced with no actual treatment done and on top of all that, arrogant and disrespectful. Ended up going to a different clinic. Will never visit this place again, they can find new patients in Mozambique.

  Im so glad I came to this dentist. Irina the hygenist was so gentle cleaning my teeth, no pain, and my teeth look brand new! The whole office is so accomdating, they care about each of their patients. Always walkout with a smile! Keep up the great work ! Anita

  I've been a patient here for almost a decade and I highly recommend them. It feels like family when I walk in every time. Ly is friendly and efficient and so helpful. And the dental care itself is great. I have fibromyalgia and they take great care of me, checking how I'm doing and little special things to make it easier. And today I overheard a little 2 year old getting his first checkup. The patient and playful way the dentist cared for that little tot was fabulous. He was so happy to be there. Overall a great practice.

  I can’t say enough great things about this dental office! Both Michelle and Natalie are fantastic hygienists—thorough, knowledgeable, and always professional. They take the time to explain everything clearly, and I always leave with valuable information on how to better care for my teeth. Dr. Astrid is amazing—skilled, kind, and truly cares about her patients. The front desk staff is always attentive and accommodating, making scheduling and check-ins a breeze. The entire team is friendly and welcoming, making each visit a positive experience. Highly recommend!

  Honestly, I’ve never had such a smooth, stress-free dental experience until I visited Dr. Mays at North Star Dentistry. From the second I walked in, the staff made me feel welcomed and at ease. The clinic itself is beautiful, clean, and has a really calm vibe that helps take the edge off right away. What really impressed me was how Dr. Mays took her time to walk me through everything. She explained the treatment clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. I never felt rushed or unsure. I felt really well taken care of. During the actual procedure, I was shocked at how relaxed I felt. Usually, I get anxious at the dentist, but Dr. Mays was so gentle and attentive that I actually forgot I was in the chair. Her attention to detail and the care she puts into her work really shows. It’s rare to find a place where the service, environment, and people are all equally amazing. This is it. I left feeling confident, informed, and genuinely grateful. If you’re looking for a dentist who’s professional, caring, and just really good at what they do, I can’t recommend Dr. Mays enough.
