Northern Karate School Aurora has been an excellent experience for my son and I. - I really appreciate the flexibility in class times by attending class with my son during Family classes on Thursday and Saturday. - The professionalism of the helpful staff with their wealth of knowledge and useful tips has enhanced our understanding of karate both in theory and application. - Due to my work pay schedule, Northern Karate School made accommodations that fit my needs. - The students and staff who attend regularly have become an extended family. I'm looking forward to participating again in the Aurora street festival demonstrations and interaction with the crowd. Watching the kids kick and punch the training pads reminds me of how far we have come from being white belts. Thanks for all your support and kindness. Shihan Bruce and Sensei Charity are running an amazing Karate dojo! The entire staff is respectful, encouraging and extremely helpful. I was uncertain about starting Karate again as an adult, but I’m glad I got involved again with Northern Karate School Aurora! It was worth experience for my son and wasting time and money Update in response to the owner’s reply: Thank you for your reply, but I feel you missed the main point of my review. My concern was never about how many classes my son attended or whether belts should be “handed out.” The issue was how the sensay treated a 6-year-old child in front of everyone when we arrived late that day due to my medical emergency. My son was embarrassed, cried, and from that day lost his love for karate. Also, for accuracy, your records are not correct. My son was attending at least twice a week, not once as you stated. Finally, I don’t think it was appropriate to mention my son’s friend as a comparison. Every child learns differently, and it is not fair or professional to use one student’s progress publicly against another. Children remember how they are treated, and unfortunately this negative experience still affects him years later. Discipline and standards are important, but kindness and understanding are equally important when working with young children.

My son has been learning Karate for last 5 years and sensei Bruce is an excellent teacher. A wonderful experience with everyone there . All the other sensei are wonderful, hardworking and amazing individuals. It is such an honour to have come in contact with this wonderful school.
