The owners and teachers Shirley and Christine are simply amazing and my teen daughter has grown so much over the past few years being part of the competitive team. Your child (no matter the age) will learn the value of teamwork, discipline while having fun learning about dance techniques. Highly recommended it.

  If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Shirley and Christine are two of the best dance teachers I have ever seen. They care deeply about the children they teach and provide a loving and nurturing environment for them to grow. My daughter has been at this studio since she was 4 years old and has blossomed into a strong and accomplished competitive dancer. She loves every minute of her time here and looks forward to many more years of fun! Thank you, Christine and Shirley for being such amazing role models!

  My daughter Leila has been dancing at Northern Lights Dance Studio since kindergarten—she’s eight now—and we couldn’t be happier. We first joined through their summer camp, where she got to try different styles of dance, and she immediately fell in love with it. She started in recreational dance, and this year she’s doing competition with a partner. It’s such an exciting step, and the studio has supported her beautifully every step of the way. Cristine and Sherley pour their hearts into what they do, and you can truly see their passion come through in their teaching. It’s a family-owned studio, and you feel that warmth the moment you walk in. The kids adore them, and it’s clear they genuinely care about every child. Even graduates come back to help teach—that says everything about the kind of environment they’ve built. Their prices are very fair compared to other studios, and the value you get is incredible. We’re really looking forward to our first competitive season, and I’m so grateful to Sherley, Cristine, and the whole team for inspiring my daughter’s love of dance.   We love being part of the NLDS family! My daughter has developed her love of dance and a true sense of confidence thanks to Christine and Shirley’s amazing competitive program. She started with recreational classes with a few friends and has grown into an amazing passion of hers. It is a fun and healthy environment for kids interested in dance. The parent community is great also! I really appreciate how kids are not dancing excessive amounts of hours every week, which helps them also enjoy other activities and not be entirely consumed by dance. Some people don’t think this is possible with competitive dance but Christine and Shirley have designed an amazing part time program with a high quality of dance instruction. Can’t wait to watch my daughter keep growing into a confident and talented dancer at NLDS. Also, the older girls have been really great examples of what a hard work ethic is and are always so kind, is also important. I love going to the competitions and especially like watching how the girls support each other and cheer each other on.
