  My son has attended Northern Starts Montessori School since he was an infant and will be heading into JK this September. Saying that, we have experienced every stage NSMS has to offer (infant, toddler and casa) and it has been an honour to be a part of such an amazing programme. At 3 years old my son can sing O Canada by heart, write and recognize his name, count until 80, sing his ABS and recognize 15 dinosaurs by their scientific names. For the parents looking to enrol their children - your child will be in amazing hands, as the owner Miss Zaydett treats these kids like her own, whether it’s praise or discipline. Her team is incredibly caring and will support your child’s learning opportunities to the best of their abilities. This centre does have rules and policies that are enforced to protect the best interests of your child and the ability of the staff to provide a safe and effective environment. Sometimes, this can be a temporary inconvenience but the result is a happy, well adjusted, mannered child. I wish NSMS all the best and my son will definitely be back to visit his favourite teachers!   My daughter has been attending Northern Stars for just over a year and originally was in the toddler classroom before moving to the Casa room. We have been very happy with our experience. The staff all obviously love the children and always greet them with kindness and excitement and send them off with care. I am constantly amazed by the number of fun and educational activities they arrange for the children. My daughter loves going and has learned so much during her time there and has really improved in regard to her independence and confidence. My daughter has food allergies which have been managed without incident throughout her time at the daycare. I will be placing my son in the infant room once I return to work from my current mat leave.

  Our daughter and our son both absolutely love this Montessori school. It has been tremendous for their development from infants right through to Casa. Friendly and caring staff who communicate effectively - and both of our kids made some great friends here as well. Highly recommend!

  This is THE go to daycare for Barrie even Toronto (if you don't mind the driving :P). I've sent both my son and my daughter to this daycare and I've never had any issues with the staffs and the owner. They honestly have treated them like their own kids. Neither of my kids have ever whined about going to the daycare in the morning, that can only mean they are being treated right. BTW the owner doesn't even have the time and energy to take her own daughter to her favourite grocery store after work. That just goes to show how much effort she puts into running this awesome daycare :D

  As a first time mom, it was very hard for me to return to work and trust my son in the care of people I did not know. We are SO lucky our son is at this school. Making the transition to Montessori school for my son was SO easy, thanks to the love and support of Ms. Zaydett and her staff. I was so worried about the transition especially with napping and eating but my son has done so well. He naps like a champ and the school even helped us with the introduction of solids. In the few short months my son has been to Northern Star, he has developed so much. Thanks to the daily routine set in place by the school. He is starting to stand (with assistance), babble, wave, sign and is just an all around happy boy. My son smiles at the gate in the morning when he sees the staff. Ms. Zaydett and the staff treat my son like their own and I am so happy he is part of the Northern Star Montessori Family. I cannot wait to watch him grow and graduate from infant - toddler to casa.
