Went into this place as a recommendation from a friend. Wasn’t disappointed. This place is a runners up in Canada in some international gelato competition held in 2019. Very nice, friendly, helpful and thankful staff. The place is small but has character to it. I tried the hazelnut and Nutella flavours, which were really nice. Everyone welcomed us when he entered. Suited during winter time with half the gelato option. Otherwise, staff said they have a much bigger variety of gelato during summer time. I would recommend this place and would come again for the gelato.

We went to Nyla’s room for gelatos on Aug 15 and Kate served us. She was extremely patient with the kids in our group and gave them samples of whichever flavour they wanted to try. The place is beautiful and clean. We had the Nutella and Ferrero Rocher gelato, pistachio gelato and it was delicious. We will definitely go back to try some other flavours. The tea room is beautiful can’t wait to try their tea and pastries some day. Thank you

Friendly server. Food very good, sandwiches could be more interesting. It would improve the experience to be able to sample more than 1 tea i.e. a couple pots of hot water and 3 preselected tea choices provided individually at the beginning of the lunch. Fingertip bowls unnecessary.

We were really looking forward to our visit at Nyla Tea Room, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing, especially given the high prices. For what we ordered, the value simply wasn’t there. There are only two options on the menu: the cream tea (a pot of tea with two tiny scones) and the princess tea, which includes a small assortment of sandwiches and scones. We ordered three princess teas, and the food took an unexpectedly long time to arrive. What made it worse was the confusion around the sandwiches. First we were told they were out of turkey , then out of salmon, then suddenly turkey was available again. The turkey “sandwich” ended up being a tortilla wrap that looked slapped together, and the egg salad was extremely bland. There was no presentation at all no tiered stand, nothing that made it feel like a proper tea service. For a bill of over $200, we expected far better quality, consistency, and care. Sadly, this visit didn’t come close to the standard you’d expect from an afternoon tea experience in Oakville.

We were very excited to be able to support a black, female owned business. And it did not disappoint! We had an amazing & unique girls day. The teas were delicious as were the finger foods. Highly recommend the toasted almond tea and the lemon gelato. Service was great, staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Worth every penny, we will definitely be back.
