I took my son in for his first ever dental check up and this office. The admin staff were amazing. Friendly and organized. The office was quite busy however, we didn’t experience any wait time. Beautiful facility all round. The dental assistant was lovely and very patient with my son as he had to have an X-ray done at the visit. The reason I chose to take my son here was because of the other wonderful reviews I read on google. Glad I took him to this dental office. Dr. Ryan was fantastic and he explained everything to us during our appointment.

I recently became a patient at this office and wanted to share my experience. From my first contact, the admin staff was welcoming and helpful, and they answered my question about whether the office is fragrance free. I asked because I developed a fragrance allergy seven years ago. Exposure can cause breathing difficulties, an asthmatic reaction, a metallic taste in my mouth, and a burning sensation in my nose. It is truly unpleasant and scary. They explained that staff do not wear fragrance out of respect for patients with allergies, which I appreciate. I do wish the office had a fragrance-free policy that applied to both staff and patients. It seems inconsistent to set boundaries for one group but not the other, like having rules for one child and not the other. A simple verbal notice when booking or confirming appointments could kindly ask patients to refrain from wearing scented products to honor those in the office with allergies. The air we breathe matters, and no one’s health is more important than anyone else’s. Wearing fragrance is a want, not a need like breathing. In a healthcare setting, this is a very reasonable request. I requested Dr. Lam as my dentist because she was my mom’s dentist before she passed, and because reviews described her as compassionate and careful. That description is accurate. She is also very thorough and precise. My first visit included some uncomfortable gum probing, but overall it went well. The office is very clean, which makes the environment even more reassuring. Sarah assisted that day and was attentive and reassuring, and Jacqueline ran the iTero machine smoothly and efficiently. My next appointment was a cleaning with Dina, the hygienist. She was calm and skilled, and her technique was comfortable and painless. On February 3rd, I returned to see Dr. Lam for a filling on my lower right back molar. Her freezing technique was excellent. Evelyn assisted and was warm and attentive. I returned on February 4th in the afternoon for the filling on my lower left back molar. Once again, Dr. Lam was careful and reassuring, and Jacqueline assisted and was warm and caring. I left very pleased with both experiences. Earlier that morning, I escorted my 72-year-old dad to his appointment and was impressed with Dr. Eli. She is passionate and straightforward. We have tried twice to get my dad approved for the CDCP and were denied, which has been frustrating. Dr. Eli was just as annoyed as we were about the CDCP nonsense and understood our situation, which meant a lot. His appointment went smoothly. He had an exam, cleaning, and extractions done. Evelyn assisted again and was efficient and friendly. Overall, I highly recommend this office. The clean, organized environment combined with caring staff makes it a very comfortable place to receive care. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was referred to Dr. Shearer by my orthodontist, and so glad I went. The experience was phenomenal. Everyone was wonderful, knowledgeable, and did a wonderful job. I went in for a cleaning with Jennifer and she was so thorough and simply amazing. I think it was the best cleaning I've ever had. Had a check up with Dr. Shearer and she explained everything she and her assistant would be doing. Dr. Shearer addressed my concerns and educated me on best ways to care for my teeth and ongoing jaw issues Will definitely be recommending!

The O'Connor Dental Centre has a caring culture. They make time for each person and you receive thoughtful and professional attention. The staff are super caring and efficient and they understand respect for elders. I brought in my 88-year-old mother for emergency dental work, and they handled her with utmost kindness and care. The key word here in everything is an understanding of "care".
