Orchard Park is a lovely green space in Toronto that offers a refreshing outdoor escape for families looking for a place to relax and play.

What to expect

This park provides a pleasant environment for children to enjoy the outdoors with open spaces for running around and playing. While it's a great spot for a sunny day, it's primarily an outdoor venue, so it's not an option for rainy weather.

Best for

Ideal for families seeking a casual outdoor activity on a pleasant day.

What parents say

Nice neighbourhood park. Especially nice as it has large grass area, a sand playground that is mostly fenced in and a splash pad. There is plenty of shade and benches and picnic tables. Also, the playground is far from the road reducing anxiety for parents.

  • Kay Sew

My favourite mini park with a playground, seasonal splash pad, gazebo, fire pit (all closed for the mean time) and ping pong table. For small parks this seems luxury when you spell it all out. The grass always seems green, there's trees here and there for a good balance of shade and (before Covid-19) a reasonable amount of picnic tables.

Large park on Dundas St in East York, it has multiple exits from the south end unto the community. It has a water park, sandbox, and a medium sized playground all for children. It has a Free Little Library and community message board just outside the playground. The large open greenspace has a lot of shade and some scattered benches and picnic tables as well as a fire pit. On Dundas there is a bikeshare program.

Great neighbourhood park in the east end, just north of Woodbine park. Has a great preschool playground, splash pad, swings, sandbox and lots of space to run. Right across from the playground is also a concrete ping pong table (so bring your rackets). Lots of space for dogs to chase tennis balls and a fire pit can also be permitted by the city. Amazing park for the neighborhood!
