Great big gym, been here for soccer runs and it’s fairly new which’s why the 5 stars. Only problem’s parking, there isn’t much parking outside the centre other than that, this place’s graaaand.

I have been using the weight room at this location for several years and it has gotten worse over the last two years, equipment has gone missing and has not been replaced, people use this gym without paying for a membership causing over crowding and wear non gym clothing especially wet boots and make the floors extremely slippery. They used to have a gym attendant but due to his hours being cut he rarely supervises. I contacted the city several times about these issues and they are yet to fix anything. I will not be attending this gym or paying further for a membership due to these issues, why am I paying over $200 to use these facilities while others use this for free and damage/steal already very limited equipment.

I wish I could say nice things about this community centre, because the space we had for our event wasn’t actually bad BUT it was the WORST experience having to deal with rude, poorly trained, and incompetent front desk staff ever. There was no communication amongst the staff about what should’ve been allowed for the people who booked the room. Very disorganized. “Disappointing” is an understatement for what we had to deal with. When we booked the multipurpose room on the 2nd floor, we also paid for the kitchen connected to it per hour. We booked it months ago, we were told everything was all set, kitchen was okay to be used, given that a staff is present for the whole duration it’s booked. However when we asked them to open it, they kept saying no. We had to argue with them but they kept resisting, despite showing the permit we got. Hosting an event is already stressful and the staff made it so much worse. Finally, they called the person we were in touch with for the room and kitchen booking and she instructed them to open it for us which they finally did. Imagine what would’ve happened if she wasn’t even around (this was a Sunday). Way to ruin a special celebration. Turns out the staff that was supposed to be in kitchen didn’t show up- and that was not even noticed until we asked for the kitchen to opened. Hence the long hold up. By the time they opened it, our guests were already arriving and our food wasn’t ready yet. We wasted so much time dealing with front desk that it held up a lot of tasks for us. We booked the room at 2:30pm, our party meant to start at 3:30pm, but guest only got to eat at 4:20pm because we couldn’t access the kitchen. At the end of our event, the same staff had the audacity to tell us that we have to make sure we were gone by 7pm. We have booked with other community centres in the past and have never dealt with people that know nothing about hospitality. They need to hire better people at front desk.
