Prehistoria is such a unique gem - the shop is packed with cool taxidermy, rocks, minerals, and fossils, and every corner has something wild and fascinating to look at. Then upstairs, the museum takes it to the next level. We were lucky enough to have Gary guide us through it, and he was fantastic- so knowledgeable, passionate, and full of fascinating stories behind the pieces. His tour made the whole visit feel extra special. Such a fun and unique spot in Toronto - highly recommend checking it out. Huge thanks again to Gary!

An absolutely fascinating experience! The upstairs museum is world class, with so much to see. Make sure you get a tour from the team, as you will get to know so much more about the highlights and the story behind them. The museum is free but accepts donations as pay what you can if you can to help with the running and upkeep. The “gift shop” is worth the visit in itself with an entire floor of one of a kind items, artefacts from history and literally billions of years of fossils. I was here in Toronto from Australia for work and it was the highlight of my trip. Thank you Skullstore team!

Super cool place we went to on a whim while in Toronto. Free museum upstairs was very cool. Love the witchy vibes and fun atmosphere. AJ was super helpful and introduced us to their pet Mantis Dorothy who they even let us hold!! The man upstairs gave us an awesome tour of the museum, gave us lots of fun stories, and even let us get up close and personal with some things. The altar to Baron Samedi was really neat too. Overall pretty good prices, very cool vibes, and AMAZING staff!

Even though I was limited to a short one hour experience, I was able to get a speedrun of the more exciting stories from the tour guide (the magician who volunteers at the museum). He definitely was knowledgeable and excited about sharing these stories with the small group I joined. He even did a small magic show for us after also (but I had to run for other plans) but it was amazing to know how much they had to offer. The museum is free to enter, but donations are appreciated! Highly recommended for a visit, even if you have just one hour in your day, but if not, you can stay amd touch the exhibit pieces also, unlike most museums.

OMG! This place is AMAZING! It completely scratches my “cool creepy historical stuff” itch. The store on the lower level has an amazing array of weird and wonderful things to purchase, and the museum upstairs is even more fascinating! It was so cool to see museum prices that were also used in some of my favorite shows and movies (“What We Do in the Shadows” and the 2025 “Frankenstein” to name a couple). The funky dude that gave us a tour of the museum part was full of stories and facts about the collection, and welcomed our questions and conversation. He even showed us some cool up close magic tricks before we left! Be sure the block out some time, there is a lot to see and hear about packed into this place! If you like the strange, odd, creepy and/or macabre this place is definitely worth a visit!
