  Our son attended Reach for the Stars (Main St) and had such a tremendous experience. The staff was great, his growth was supported, and he made some great friends. I think this is an excellent program based on the Montessori methods.

  Pros: -Extremely professional and well organized teachers (especially Miss Julia who is very well educated and genuinely cares about the kids' education) -Teachers are frequently engaged and involved with parents (monthly newsletters which are actually helpful/informative), field trips, parent teacher conferences, progress reports, etc. -Snacks provided (you WILL appreciate this) -3 hours instead of 2.5 hours like many -This is the 'cool and trendy' part of main with lots of excellent restaurants and coffee to go to during school/after school, not the scary and dodgy part of main :) -Christmas/spring breaks are short :) Cons -School is on the smaller side and pretty urban Overall the main location is excellent. The teachers might strike you as reserved but they're fabulous. This is for the main branch-we've gone to summer school at the kits branch. It's not nearly as well organized.

  My child loves going to reach for the stars. It is a great school that I am proud to say we are apart of. My child learns so much and truly loves her teachers. We recommend this school.They are highly organized, creative and the teachers are kind and easy to communicate with.

  I could not be happier with this school and would recommend it to anyone. My wife and I had originally wanted to get into a City of Vancouver pre-school but cannot be more happy that we could not as it had filled up. We had expected this would be more like a daycare for older kids but each day continue to be surprised when our daughter comes home telling us about the solar system, animals, and just funny facts that she has learned in school. She comes home with wonderful art, notes from the teachers with updates, new books each day to read at night. They teach them songs about the world, planets, etc and she comes home remembering them each day. My daughter LOVES the structure they provide as well, very consistent atmosphere so she knows what to expect each day. Sanitization when entering, waiting for parents to arrive in certain fashions, arrival procedures, teaches them about steps in the real world. They are very COVID safe and have even adapted further to Omicron by having each child at their own table. We wish we could have kept her in here for kindergarten as well. From day 1 my daughter has only had excitement to go to school, not once in 4 months has she ever said she did not want to go to school (that alone says how good they are to the kids). There is not one single negative thing I have to say about them. Anyone who says anything negative about this school is just wrong in my opinion.
