nice center and especially the pool. It is fashionable to swim with music playing in the background. and not in thunderous silence like in most pools

Apparently, the fast lane in the swimming pool is reserved for “fast” people who force “not fast” people move to the median and slow lanes, so two “fast” guys can dominate the lane while 5-6 swimmers are jammed in the median. Let’s give a round of applause for those Olympic athletes who either don’t have money to pay for specialized facilities, or much prefer to train their spirit by annoying all other swimmers in a shared, all-level inclusive community swimming pool. One “fast” guy also seemed to be a swimming staff in the centre.

I've had this FitnessTO membership for months now and have never been bothered accessing a community centre gym. Today while trying to work out with my sister were approached and told that the gym is for "paid members only" which I was confused about because I thought they meant like an individual membership for this location which the gym isn't even worth with the lack of equipment or even water station inside. But then to realize that our FitnessTO annual memberships also covered this gym over 50 others and lane swimming and we were called out and embarrassed for no reason was the hardest part. I will not be returning. The assumption that we we're not members was so crazy, especially when the city gives funding to access the program away to anyone low income who asks. I'm all for the toronto community fitness program but not at this location.

The pool is great, they have swimming lanes and a kids pool. There seem to be a lot of other amenities, but I haven’t tried any of them. I went a few times now with my son, the change room is a bit outdated, but generally it’s pretty clean. The pool water could be a couple degrees warmer, but other than that it’s a great pool for little kids!
