Food taste average. Price is ok. Just the server etiquette though.. When we pay our bill she was looking though.. i feel uncomfortable her watching me how much I give for TIP. She could have turn her back around.

I met friends here for a casual breakfast. The interior is cozy and the menu has typical offerings. It’s a no-frills type of restaurant/diner. The food was good, not amazing, but the service was friendly and efficient. We ordered: Farmers Breakfast $14.95 Peameal Eggs Benedict $15.50 Western Omelette $14.25 Coffee $2.95 Tea $2.95 The parking can be chaotic on weekends since it shares space in a busy plaza. Open 7 days a week from 7 am – 4 pm

Good breakfast at good prices. Nothing special, but well executed breakfast classics. Fast and friendly service.

Will not return again. Ordered Sunbeam pancake combo which included pancakes but they were undercooked and gooey inside. They tasted a little raw in the centre. I politely told the waitress who apologized and got another order for me. I didn’t make a big deal of it. She explained that there was a new chef being trained. She came back quite a bit later with new pancakes which were clearly burned. She even noticed this. I expect a breakfast place to be able to at least get the pancakes correct after a second time. I tried the overcooked pancakes but they did not taste good and therefore I barely ate any. My son ordered waffle and home fries and ate some of that. When the bill came I was asked to pay full price for my meal. The waitress said she already explained to the manager and she wasn’t willing to do anything about it. I asked to speak with the manager and explained what she already knew: how the first two were clearly undercooked and second order was burned. She told me I wasted four pancakes! I was shocked she didn’t take any accountability. She actually told me she “TASTED” the first pancakes and they were fine. I’m not a usual complainer and had tried more than one bite and they weren’t fine. She said we are a small business and don’t do that to us. She said I shouldn’t be wasting food. Well, I feel a breakfast place can do better. She took off $7.00 off the bill (which wasn’t even half of my meal) reluctantly and I left there feeling like it was just a horrible experience. It was overpriced and bad experience for me for something as simple as pancakes. The customer service of the waitress was fine but the manager made me feel I was to blame and that I was in the wrong.

UPDATE: March 5,2026; Went for lunch and had their BEEF VEGETABLE SOUP in a big bowl, not the usual little cups.....it was SPECTACULAR!!!!! Meaty and vegetables tasted FRESH and a meal all by itself !!! My guest said the BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP was also delicious. The AVACADO & TOMATO SANDWICH was light and flavourful. _____________________________________________________ Always forget that their "usual" breakfasts are THREE of eggs and meat selections......so it is a BIG meal for me !! But as I am not a fan of breakfast potatoes the servers were very happy to substitute tomato slices instead of the home fries. Peameal bacon choice is some of the thickest I have had and I always ask for it extra well done and CRISP!!!
