I surprised my mom with a Lambeth Cake class at Magpie Cakery for Christmas, and it was such a fun experience! From start to finish, it was creative, hands-on, and full of learning. Maggie is an incredible teacher—kind, knowledgeable, and with a great sense of humor that makes the whole class feel so relaxed and welcoming. My mom and I left feeling proud of our creations and with a few new baking tricks up our sleeves. The cakes also tasted amazing! My wife and I had a marvellous time at Magpie Baking Studio where we learned to make Pate a Choux. This was our first experience at Magpie and baking Choux. We not only learned to make choux but pastry cream and chocolate glaze as well. Maggie is a wonderful teacher who brings her humour and knowledge to the class. She also takes time to assist each participant. I can't wait to return for Lemon Tart baking.

I attended the Cake decorating class at Magpie Bakery on Gerrard! It was fabulous. The facilities are exceptional and fully stocked. The course was outstanding. I plan to take more programs and spend more coffee time at this little East End gem! You should too. I love my “mad hatter” cake design. Thanks Maggie and Kate 💕

Magpie Bakery Baking Studio is such a gem. I did the cinnamon bun class with friends and had such a great time. Maggie is an amazing teacher, super clear, encouraging, and she brings the best vibes to the room. We learned a ton, laughed a lot, and left with 9 absolutely delicious cinnamon buns plus homemade scones to take home. If you’re looking for a unique gift idea or just a really fun experience to do as a couple or with friends, I can’t recommend this enough. We’ll 100% be back!
