I had a terrible experience with the director of this daycare. After paying a deposit to secure a spot for my baby, I needed to cancel for personal reasons after 20 days of enrolling my son for October 2025. Despite her admitting there is a long waitlist and she could easily fill the spot, she flat-out refused to refund my deposit. It's clear that money comes first here — not the babies, not the families. Her behavior was completely unethical and unprofessional. Parents deserve better, especially during hard financial times. Be very careful. This daycare hides behind rigid, unfair policies to justify keeping your money. Please look elsewhere if you want a daycare that truly respects and supports families.

We absolutely love this daycare centre! From the moment we enrolled our toddler, we felt completely at ease. The staff are incredibly nurturing, patient, and truly passionate about early childhood development. Our child has blossomed socially and emotionally since attending, and it’s clear that the educators take the time to understand each child’s needs. The centre is always clean, organized, and filled with engaging activities. We especially appreciate the regular updates, photos, and open communication—it’s so reassuring as a parent. Our son feels safe, happy, and excited to learn. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a supportive and enriching environment for their child!

3 star meaning “ok”. I enrolled after a tour and having a sit in with the director (who is kind, friendly). She mentioned I could be provided a discounted monthly rate as she’s given to select families since Tiny Hearts is not enrolled in CWELCC (parents also cannot apply for subsidy if that’s something you’re wanting if a daycare is not enrolled). CWELCC would bring down the cost to $22/day if the daycare qualifies as a licensed program. The Director, Sadia, stated they applied and didn’t qualify for 2024, but perhaps for 2025 (the year I needed a daycare placement). I was content that she would give me a discount rate for $1050/month, also making each month an equal payment for simplicity. I had a spot reserved for the fall sometime in the spring and I went for a second tour months later to be sure. I like the idea of cameras and an app for parents to check on their toddlers. As summer was ending I checked the website again and noticed I’m not getting any discount- $1050/month is the going rate for all toddlers. I felt like the integrity was lost. I would have rather the Director say we can’t offer discounts to anyone; be honest. ***This is where 1 star was lost***. Then I checked the city website for daycares and any failed areas every daycare has made during city inspections. There was a list of offences such as ratio for toddler or infant to teacher. I looked into more affordable daycares that also offered integrity, honesty and professionalism. In short, the Director offered to give back a portion ($500) of the deposit I made. My deposit was $1050 (first month) and $50 registration or admin fee. I received $500 out of the $1100 deposit after sending a few reminders. It’s not bad considering another parent earlier in the summer received nada, nothing and gave a 1 star review. I’d only give a 5 star review if my child was attending and everything was excellent & I’d have to recommend it. At best I would have given a 4 star review for ‘good’ if the pricing was honest as opposed to saying I’ll give you a discount I have given to others only to find out it’s the regular pricing. A 3 star is “ok” or “neutral” which is how I felt closing this chapter. I would recommend anyone interested to be absolutely sure of enrolling as losing $600, or worse, losing $1100 is a lot of money. When I asked over the phone before pulling out this fall if they were in CWELCC for 2025, the Director said they hadn’t applied for the year and she added the City also hasn’t reached out to tell them how they can meet the requirements. For me hearing that showed a lack of accountability paired with the issues the city listed with the daycare during each inspection - easy to find online. Again, a 3 star is accurate.
