Visited the Pan Am Center during the Toronto's Doors Open Event that happened from May 24-25. It seems like every hour there's a guided tour that takes a group around the Pan Am facilities. We came here to check out and see what the Pan Am Center was all about, as we had never been inside before. The tour took the group through the gates that requires a pass to get through. It looked like people were tapping a card at the gates to get into all the other areas within the center. The tour guide (she read off a few sheets of paper), brought our group to the rock climbing area, then downstairs to show us where and how people rent stuff, to the changing rooms, the fitness gym area (pretty well packed and stocked with all sorts of gym equipment), the basketball courts & the track course, the mini/small food court, where classes are held and who can rent them, the outside area where people can chill in warmer weather... We were also told that the 2 new structures that are currently being built is: a structure parking lot and a University of Toronto medical building. Inside the centre, there's a small food court that houses a Tim Hortons, a Pizza, and something else. They also have this fancy looking TV screen and sensor that helps you choose which garbage you shout sort your trash. In the main lobby area, there's a Booster Juice, an sports clothing type store, and some clothing stall selling some sort of merch. We also learned that University of Toronto students get free access to the Pan Am Centre, as well as being able to sign up to various lessons/courses (don't know if that's free too, probably is). One of the huge banners I saw said that the University of Toronto students pledged to fund ~$25 million dollars to the Pan Am Centre, so that future students will have good facilities to use. Fun fact. Overall, the swimming pools are huge (lane swimming, swimming classes, dive pool). The Pan Am Centre looks kind of small on the outside, but it's pretty huge on the inside. The changing rooms connect to the fitness section and the swimming section. Seems like a pretty cool place. The tour guide did a good job with advertising the centre, cause there were a few people within our tour group who were interested in signing up for the membership.

This sports center is out of the world 💯. I can't imagine having this in your area 😳. It's wonderful for everything but the CEBL game was PERFECT and we'll be back again soon. Maybe season tickets 🎟 🤔 because the price and quality of the ball is sooo good. See you soon!!!!!!!!

I've been a member for the last 4 years, initially as a student at UTSC and now as a regular paying member. I have to say that the facilities on offer are top tier. You pretty much have everything you need; gym, pool, indoor track, courts and various fitness class and activities. Membership fees can be a bit steep, but otherwise appropriate when comparing to commercial gym. While I have nothing but praises for TPASC, my three star rating is primarily due to a personal grudge with the gym. Broken equipments are inevitable. However, I noticed the turnaround times for fixing them are quite slow. Moreover, some equipments have repeatedly gone out of service, and slow maintenance result in congestion when working out. The gym has been pretty busy lately, and I hardly get any workout in. I'd like to respect people's workout pace, so I don't like hurrying them or working in together. For how much members pay, I do expect equipments to be at least function without hiccups most of the time, if not all the time. If your purpose of visiting TPASC is anything but the gym, don't let this review stop you from signing up. I highly recommend being a member here, it's one of if not the best place to workout, especially during winter. The staffs are friendly and helpful, and the place offers a selection of food options, ranging from Tim's to the various vending machines dotted around the halls. With that, I hope management notices this review and deal with the gym equipment issue appropriately.

Pan Am is a fantastic venue with world class training facilities. Their gym is extensive, basketball and volleyball courts are great with an excellent scoreboard available to use. A true athlete's facility.

It’s been a year since we started coming to the Pan Am Centre in Scarborough, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best facilities around! The pools are always clean, the changing rooms are spotless, and everything is so well maintained. There’s so much to do here — swimming, running, the gym, even climbing! It’s a place where everyone in the family can find something they enjoy. The staff are friendly and professional, and the whole atmosphere just feels positive and full of energy. You can tell how much care goes into keeping this place organized and welcoming. We’ve also discovered so many great clubs and programs along the way. Truly a gem in Scarborough — we love it here!
