I am surprised at the high rating of this centre. At least of this location. Wonderful staff, but very poor management. The Centre is actually run more like a shelter with very limited funds. The children are never a priority. The summer programs are excruciatingly and unbearable boring for the school age children. There is always a shortage of toys for them, and whatever they do have is either very old or damaged. Any complaint by parents are often, if not always fallen on deaf ear; and for the most part the parent is usually deemed troublesome and are often ostracized. Our monthly “board meeting” otherwise labeled by Daniella as parent council meeting is usually dominated by the program director herself, and whom always chooses and controls the the topics to discuss. Parents in general have lost all interest in attending these meeting because it is always the same topic “FUNDRAISING IDEAS and a great disvalue of our time and input. This daycare has lost it’s value when Ms. Alves walked out the door, and they keep surprising us when we think they can’t get any worst. There is a great mismanagement of this daycare on every level of staffing especially management and the board of directors. The only time we witnessed the centre operating at the ministry standard is always around the time of a visit from criteria.

Updated opinion as of April 4th, 2023. This daycare is fun for my kids. They actually really enjoy their time with their individual classes. I have 4 kids in their own class. The daycare does a variety of activities to keep the kids engaged, experiencing new things, & having fun. I didn’t enjoy their protocols during c*vid, because they would call parents for every little thing and make you pick up one or all kids. Now that c*vid is over, I’m quite enjoying hearing my kids tell me about their day and experiences at daycare. Most of the staff is friendly and they update parents whenever things occur. They own up to their mistakes, apologize and we move on. I see how my kids have grown within the last year, while attending Tumpane child care Centre. I’m loving how my younger 2 kids teacher have helped them grow into their bigger personalities. I would recommend this daycare 4/5.

I want to congratulate the teachers who care for the toddlers; they are very professional. I have twins at the center, and I've noticed their professionalism. There's a teacher who speaks Spanish who always helps me when we need something, and I'm so grateful. God bless them.
