A Beautiful spot to walk around, lots of paths and seating, take to time to stop by. When I'm in Vernon i use their day pass for the weight room usage. You can't go wrong with the price and the facility is not overly busy. The place is a bit tire and could use with an update from the pool area to the fitness area. but for a general public recreation area is a nice place to spend a few hours in the pool or getting a work out. Staff are pleasant and the place is clean.

The Rec Centre has been a core of the community. Countless community events are held here. Thrash Wrestling, Creative Chaos, future Vernon Comic Cons, and others that I don't bother attending. Inside there is a gym families rent out for birthday parties, a public pool, an ice rink, and a curling rink. The parking lot(s) could be designed better. It serves its role well within the community.
