Wanless park is a quiet patch of green in an enclave of an eponymous neighbourhood between Lawrence East, Yonge and Bayview. It's mostly cut off from through traffic by the West Don River ravine and Rosedale Gold Course to its east, and so it remains mostly a park for locals. It's quiet even in summer, with well heeled locals cottaging or on vacation. The busiest parts are the tennis courts, which are full of camps, lessons and league play from May onwards. A basic wading pool exists for younger kids, but no splash pad facilities. A play structure also exists but looks dated, after a quarter century without any updates. The park also has a large rolling green space and baseball field that gets some summer use. Parking on the residential streets that surround the park. TTC access from Lawrence Station (10 min walk) or by Lawrence bus (5 min walk).

The park is nestled in a beautiful neighbourhood, nicely maintained, has 3-4 lawn tennis court, baseball nets, amphitheatre, swings for kids and lot of open spaces and benches. We play freebie there while lot of people come to stroll their dogs as well..

Nice small park with playground, large field used for soccer and baseball, and other open spaces. Always plenty of people on summer evenings. It's a safe place for kids. Tennis courts are for club members with only very limited public access.

As far as parks go, this one is pretty good. There's an appropriate amount of benches, and the ratio of trees to grass is satisfactory. There's even a water fountain that's free to use, which I'm a fan of. Snow removal in the winter is apparently non-existent, and the tennis courts sadly have a lot of restrictions. If they do something about the snow everywhere, I would gladly give this park five stars.

A very nice place to play with kids... During pandemic the playground is not safe to use but there is a big green area to walk and run through!
