Came for a girls night, and although I did enjoy the decor and the food - I didn't love this place overall. Service was very slow, seems like they are still in training. My stuffed chicken had almost no cheese inside, and my potatoes and veg were a bit cold. At over $80 for an entree, glass of wine and a dessert, I wanted to be more impressed than I was. The tiramisu for dessert was delicious, best part of the meal.

WATR is a stunning new addition at the foot of Liverpool Road and a welcome addition to the Durham Region dining scene. From the moment you walk in, the décor is striking and thoughtfully designed, creating an atmosphere that is both elegant and inviting, truly a 10/10 for ambiance. I visited with a group of 16 to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and the experience was impressive across the board. The cocktails were delicious and the wine was chilled. Every dish that came out of the kitchen was hot, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. I enjoyed the Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Chicken Alfredo which paired perfectly with Oyster Bay Chardonnay. Ella, our sever, was attentive and well informed on all the menu items, she did an amazing job! Around the table, there were plenty of highlights, the Spicy Thai Meatballs were described as divine, the Seafood Salad featured fresh plump shrimp, calamari, and scallops same for the Seafood Linguine. The Lobster Mac & Cheese was reported to be outstanding. The Osso Bucco Fettuccine Pasta was a standout hit, and even the Chicken Wings earned high praise. I’m already looking forward to returning, especially to enjoy the patio with great food, great wine, and the stunning views of the Port of Pickering.

New restaurant, pretty aesthetic, good food and friendly staff. We really enjoyed our time. Best oysters I’ve ever had. The bartender was amazing, his cocktails were fire. Can’t wait to go back in the summer.

What an awesome new restaurant ! The atmosphere is a vibe. Everyone here is so friendly and courteous. Our waitress was Ella and she was fantastic. I got the gnocchi and my friend got the Swiss mushroom burger. We also had the sweet potato fries and crab dip. I highly recommend the crab dip! It has a nice kick of spice. And what’s dinner without dessert? We both had the lavender creme brûlée and it was scrumptious. Can’t wait to come back here and try more menu items!

This place is such a vibe and the food is so tasty and tasteful! The presentation of the food was beautiful and our server Kristen was wonderful. She was friendly, helpful and was the perfect amount of attentiveness! We will definitely be back!
