This is one of my favourite Toronto destinations for a walk along the boardwalk or bicycling or rollerblading along the waterfront trail. In the summer their are buskers and musicians performing along the boardwalk. You may come across someone practicing his sky bourne giant kite acrobatics or someone blowing meter wide soap bubbles. Then there are the beach volleyball nets and tournaments that attract thousands, sometimes tens of thousands on weekends. The eye candy is another attraction for many. You'll find all types of individuals here. Just sit down on a bench and start chatting with a stranger to be new friend. There are fascinating life stories to discover. On this day in October I was attending a GTA wide high school cross country meet. Surprisingly, it was a suitable venue. If you haven't been there yet, grab a blanket and your camera and check it out.

We visited Woodbine Beach on a Saturday afternoon with friends and had a fantastic time. The beach has plenty of volleyball posts if you bring your own net, so we played a few games before heading out for some paddleboarding. Once you row a few meters from shore, the water turns a beautiful mix of colors—really stunning, as you can see in the photos we took. There are many food options from the food trucks, plus public washrooms and changing rooms, which make spending the whole day easy and comfortable. Parking can be tricky if you don’t arrive early, but there are private lots nearby (around $50 per day) as an alternative. Woodbine is truly one of the best beaches in Toronto—perfect for spending the day with friends or family, playing sports, relaxing, and enjoying the lake.

We love this beach as a couple. We had a lot of long, late night walks here discussing deep feelings. At the end of the walkway, there is a playground where we enjoy the swings and seesaw together and make our way back to our car. It is crowded most of the times but we still love it. Lots of trees for having a cool picnic.

Awesome place for a wonderful time. Neat and clean water to swim or have fun. Food truck and small restaurant is outside the beach area. However, washrooms were not clean I saw many people littering. Don't know what fun they get by spoiling such a beautiful beach. Overall a great place to play beach volleyball or family picnic or fun with friends.

Beautiful beach in the city! Woodbine Beach is one of my favorite spots in Toronto — a perfect mix of relaxation and activity. The sand is clean, the boardwalk is great for walking or biking, and there are plenty of volleyball courts and green spaces to enjoy. The lifeguards and facilities make it feel safe and family-friendly. It does get very busy on hot weekends, so parking can be tricky — it’s best to come early or use transit. The water can be a bit cold (Lake Ontario!) but it’s usually clean and refreshing. Overall, a fantastic place to spend a summer day or catch a sunset. Highly recommend for both locals and visitors! 🌅🏖️
