I visited 850 Degrees Pizzeria and ordered what I consider the ultimate benchmark for any pizza place: a classic Margherita pizza which was called the St. John’s at this restaurant. The pizza was priced at $17.95 + taxes and came with Ontario fior di latte cheese, tomato sauce, and fresh basil. I usually judge a pizza spot by how well they execute this simple pizza, because it really shows the quality of the ingredients and the skill behind the oven. Unfortunately, this one was underwhelming. The fior di latte cheese was very chewy and didn’t taste like good-quality mozzarella. Based on the many wood-oven Margherita pizzas I’ve had at other restaurants, this just didn’t meet the standard I was expecting. For the price point, I felt the quality wasn’t there. A Margherita doesn’t need to be complicated, but it does need excellent ingredients—and that’s where this pizza missed the mark. That said, the concept is solid, and the place clearly has potential. With better-quality cheese and more attention to ingredient execution, this could easily be a much stronger offering.

My coworker and I had great experience here. I had the lunch menu which includes a salad and a choice of pizza/pasta for $16.95. It was very affordable with the quality of food we got. Cozy restaurant, nice server!

Hands down the best pizza we’ve had. A neighbourhood gem. Small restaurant, reservations are a must. Gets noisy too around the evening meal rush. But such a great spot.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while in Long Branch for an event last night. I called prior to arriving to see if they could fit our party of three in without a reservation and they happily accommodated us. We didn't know what to expect as we just spotted it while turning on to Lake Shore Blvd., and were very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was lovely; cozy and inviting. Plenty of tables for dining in and modern decor. The menu had a great variety, from the starters, to the pizzas, pastas, and salad. It was hard to choose when so many of the options sounded delicious. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options available. We appreciated the humor and wit that was put into the names of each pizza. My husband and I settled on the Shinny pizza and the vegan meatballs. The pizza was just wonderful; the fior di latte was delightful, as were the mushrooms, and the ideal amount of sauce. The crust was thin and cooked to perfection. 850 Degrees does not skimp on their toppings. The vegan meatballs were also very tasty, with a bit of a kick to the sauce. My teenage son ordered the Superman pizza and devoured six of his eight slices before deciding to save room for dessert. For a kid who doesn't like spinach, apparently on pizza it will do. We ordered the cannolis (one cappuccino, one chocolate chip) and the tiramisu for dessert. The cannolis were fresh and flavourful. The tiramisu was light and just the right amount of sweet. We will definitely be returning when in the area! Thanks for fitting us in at the last minute, 850 Degrees!

It was such an amazing experience! We recently discovered this spot because we saw the fire — they make their pizza in a wood-fired oven, which immediately caught our attention. And it did not disappoint! We visited on a Monday and were treated to live music from a talented guitarist and singer, which created such a warm, natural vibe. The pizza was incredible, and the tea was delicious. The staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming, making the experience even better. I can honestly say it was really, really good. I’d highly recommend this place for families, couples, or anyone who wants to enjoy great food in a cozy, charming atmosphere.
