Andrew was an excellent music teacher for my daughter as she started with the saxophone. She connected well with him and did a great job encouraging her love for playing music.

Andrew has been teaching my son to play the saxophone for over one year. He has a gentle and kind approach to his training. My son really enjoys his lessons and we are pleased with his steady improvement. Andrew is flexible and accommodating with his time.

After being a student of Andrew's for the past two years, I have been constantly impressed by his encouraging and generous nature, not to mention his musical knowledge. I started playing tenor saxophone in a band for people over 55. This is my first instrument. Andrew is very patient and I mean very! He is very knowledgeable about his craft and is keen to generously share that knowledge with you. I sometimes come to my lesson feeling guilty for not having practised but have always left my lesson feeling encouraged and motivated. If I could give him 10 stars I would. He's great!

I would like to commend Andrew as an superb saxophone teacher and recommend him to everyone! Weather you just starting, like me, or have been playing for a while and would like to refine your sound, he is go to person. He has very unique teaching style and progression with his teaching program, which was fitting for me 100%. After just a few lessons I was able to understand the “anatomy” and principles of playing on the instrument well. Andrew really makes it a point for you to get comfortable with the instrument first and only after that gets to actual music. It was a great approach since the sax is quite a complicated instrument and it would just make no sense to learn how to play melodies if you don’t know how to use it. During my lessons with Andrew I was really impressed how he was able to instantly pick up all of my mistakes, demonstrate to me what I was doing wrong and give me very useful advices on how to correct them on the spot! Beside music Andrew is also quite knowledgable on how the body works and he implements that knowledge to explain why you can’t perform at that particular moment the way you would expect to perform. That saved me from a lot of frustration. Overall my experience of going to saxophone lessons with Andrew were nothing but amazing. As a student you will learn so much in such a short time in a comfortable, friendly and fun environment! Thank you Andrew for your words of musical wisdom. I will keep practicing and look forward to learn from you again!

I had the privilege of taking alto sax lessons with Andrew the past year! Andrew is a very talented musician, but more importantly he is an excellent teacher who loves to share his passion for music. This was demonstrated by Andrew’s pursuit to make the lessons enjoyable while gently pushing me to improve in multiple ways. I appreciate Andrew’s flexibility to work on multiple topics which allowed me to put more time into more difficult skills while also keeping the lessons fun and making me excited about what comes next. He was very flexible and was willing to work with my spotty memory from playing in high school. This allowed us to move through some topics quickly and spend more time on others. Andrew encouraged me to explore different types of music while remaining open to learning pieces that I brought forward. This approach was amazing as it allowed me to develop a better appreciation for music diversity. Andrew was always positive, approachable and a really nice person to spend time with. I highly encourage you connect with Andrew and experience his excellent teaching first hand. If I take lessons again in the future, I won’t hesitate at all to re-connect with Andrew. Thank you so much!
