I know this spot is meant for cup bap, but, Such a great spot for Korean egg sandwiches. The sandwiches were well seasoned and had great flavour. Also nice and thick sandwiches too. The bacon grease had some time to soak into the toast and just added that next level of taste. Service was good, there wasn’t much customers at the time, so I did get my order well taken care of. Quite a bit of searing as there is seating on both sides of the place. Parking, I didn’t park in their lot. Actually walked across from the school since my son had a sports practice. I have heard that it can be a nightmare to park there, so just be patient. Great job overall

3.5 ⭐️ We came around 8:30 pm and we were pleasantly greeted. We ordered the regular beef rice bowl as well as a mango bingsu. While he was making everything I took some pictures of the inside which was nice and clean. Good place for food photos. The beef rice bowl had a really nice presentation. Once mixed it was full of flavour and well balanced. However the bingsu tasted a little bit plain for my liking. It definitely could've used a bit more sweetness. I would like to come back to try some different items.

Came by here for a meal and was very satisfied. The store looked small from the outside but inside there were many seats without it feeling cramped. We ordered the spicy pork cupbop and beef cupbop as well the Seoul Sandwich Toast. The cupbops were flavorful and filled with lots of meat and toppings. The cupbops also come with an egg and it was perfectly runny. We were intrigued by the Seoul Sandwich Toast so we knew we had to get it. The sandwich is ginormous and so juicy. Overall, this is a great spot!

I found Baegopa through a TikTok video that my friend sent to me. We decided to head over and check it out since we are big fans of Korean, especially Korean comfort food. From the moment you step in, you feel like you are walking into Peter’s (the owner) home. The place is bright, clean, and so inviting. It’s a small shop, but it is so filled with love. Onto the food. Baegopa is all about comfort, and man does Peter deliver! I had the Spam Mayo Deopbop, and from the very first bite, I knew my life would never be the same. This was my introduction to Spam, I had never tried it before, and I can’t believe I have spent most of life without it. The combination of fried Spam with egg and crunchy onions and rice with his homemade sauce was like listening to a beautiful symphony of flavour! It was so good, so filling, it was perfect. I also had the Corn Cheese Mayo Toast and honestly, there aren’t even words to describe just how absolutely delicious this truly is. Fried Egg, bacon, cheese on homemade Seoul Toast with a corn mayo, I don’t know what he does to it, but I promise you, you will dream about it for days afterward. I also ordered a take out order of the Beef Ramyun and once again, it was out of this world. It was the nicest ramyun I’ve ever tasted. I have been back several times, and have had the Pork Cupbop, which has his own homemade Macaroni salad and stir fried kimchi, as well as the Tuna Mayo Deopbop, both so amazing. In January Peter introduced Tteok-Bokki, which is one of my signature comfort go tos and it is hands downs one, if not THE best version I’ve ever tasted. Seriously, try it! Peter makes everything in house, fresh and uniquely him, even his drinks are his own, I highly recommend trying his Yuja Drink, which is Korean Lemonade, and/or Omija drink, which is this wonderful Iced Tea. Both are out of this world! Peter also makes the really popular Dubai Chewy Balls, and they are like heaven in your mouth. They are both rich and light, I honestly can’t figure out how it can be both, but man does he do it! For me, what truly makes Baegopa special and a must try is Peter himself. Peter is the kindest, most humble and beautiful soul I have ever come across. He is so genuine and hardworking and he goes out of his way to make you feel at home and make sure you are happy. 100/10 I highly recommend this place. Your tummy and your soul will be full. 💕

Location/Service This place is right in the intersection of Bayview/Major Mac, but it is in a smaller plaza right across the high school. It is a little tricky to access the plaza, but there is actually plenty of parking behind the store front that no one never realizes. Inside is pretty big, a lot of tables available to dine-in. You can have it to-go as well, which I seem to see it's like that most of the time. The owner, Peter, is a very nice guy. He explains all the items very clearly, provides good recommendation and makes sure you feel welcomed and enjoys the food. Food This place specializes cupbop - which actually is a classic staple street style food in Korean. It's kind of like a bibimbap, something you add together and mix it up. But cupbop usually also have macaroni salad, stir fried kimchi and a choice of protein like spam, pork, beef. It is a very hearty bowl, definitely good portion size and filling. And it's only $12.99 - that's pretty affordable in this current economy. Besides cupbop, they have street style Korean snacks like their toast, skewers and I think they started doing tteokbokki too. Honestly, this is a small business that deserves more recognition and it is very convenient for kids across the school and anybody in the neighbourhood.
